Is RJ a rookie max or do you let him test RFA? That will decide how the franchise values him.

But the even weirder ones are those who are insistent that not only is he just a 3-D guy with literally no other skills, but that he's never been anything but a 3-D guy as a prospect, when he clearly hasn't been
Like, I get swapping RJ for SGA makes us better cause SGA is clearly better than RJ and a better prospect, but firstly it won't be a straight up swap, and secondly, the goal should be to get them together, if anything
It's like if in the Dame trade scenarios people suggested we trade Randle for Dame cause Dame's better. Yeah, that's true, but you want them both, not just one or the other.

This board and factions of Knicks twitter love to hard cap our young player's ceilings as like a counter balance to the extreme homers. It's bizarre to me. The rhetoric around RJ really surprises me. I don't remember anybody being as negative about KP this early on and RJ is way more likeable IMO.

This and like I said earlier, I think the appeal in NY for SGA (outside of obvious market size increase, fashion, etc.) is that he would pay with his Canadian buddy RJ. OKC has a history of sending their guys where they would like to go. If SGA pushes for NY, then you likely don't need to put RJ in the package. Mitch I think is a better fit for their core roster anyway and they wouldn't have to pay him a max or anything close to it.

Be a bad look if we trade him. Especially to Oklahoma City
Its not like hes playing like a bust. He’s actually improving

I like how there are those who suggest Trading Randle would be a bad look, but they have no qualms about trading RJ as if it wouldn't be a bad look.![]()
the only guys Randle is attracting to this team are Lonzo types and some of those same posters are disgusted with that thought.

SGA is a better player, I'm not sure why NY would say RJ is off limits when they know OKC would only want players near SGA, which NY only has RJ as a player that works for proper compensation. A package of Quick and 1sts doesn't really do anything for a team that has like 30 picks over the next five years. They want good players in return for their very good player.

Why would they want RJ? They would have to pay him too.
We can’t afford SGA because Obi is a bust. If we had Halliburton maybe they’d be interested. 19/21 are complete trash and everyone but this board knows that.

trade them and all our picks for Michael Jordan I mean Siakam since he's available.

Very Knicksy.
Siakam definitely suffers career ending knee injury soon after trade to Knicks.
Ultimate Knicksy
