He told him he had to go to a "meeting" with still the same sad upset look on his face. He kinda always has that look on his face but something inside me made me think that we weren't gonna keep Lin...

We can only pray it went something like this.

Yes, it does take two to tango in a sign & trade. However, I don't see why the Knicks couldn't have orchestrated a S&T for Augustin using Jared Jeffries and Dan Gadzuric as trade chips...D.J. Augustin is a far better player than Raymond Felton.

whats the motivation for CHA to do that?

So why on earth would any Knick fan be happy they might let him go? Makes no sense.

Which is why some of us are not worried.

There is obviously a chance Lin isn't coming back... but I think those that are assuming Lin is not getting matched aren't thinking this one through.

I think the assumption in either direction is shortsighted... going to have to ket it play out. I still say we are matching.

Nope, that pair are already Blazers players, they've signed them, the other guy is going to be someone like Sinanovic, he wouldn't come.

But Diebler is a steal.

Oh wow, Sinanovic was drafted in 2003

Maybe Isola got it wrong and it was the Knicks including 2 players from europe along with the 2nd round pick in 2016? How sad would that be?

He's made some incredible moves, but sometimes it's better to build on what you started...

Is the lux tax really that big of an issue?

Sure doesn't seem like Knicks care about lux tax. It appears the MO is to go balls to the wall after title. STack a ridiculous amount of depth. Following that logic it would make no sense to not match Lin.

That's just wrong in so many ways.

Woodson is definitely getting the veteran team he's always wanted.

IMO, we're still matching Lin but it sucks to lose Jeffries. He was a glue guy like Chandler.

woodson and grunwald threw d'antoni system out the window, and now the knicks are a defensive-minded team.

20-30 games is all he played in.....it's understandable.

I think we should match now however.....

Damn ! Crazy saturday ! Went out for a drink and some fresh air and when I'm back I found out Knicks acquired both Felton and KT.

Don't care about Gadzuric and JJ so I like the trade and having Crazy Eyes back in NY. He will replace Gadzuric (same salary). I don't understand Felton though. 3 years and $10 million ? And Knicks may not match Lin because of future luxury tax payments in 2015 ?

I guess management think Felton can play both guard positions and they view his contract as potential trade bait in the future. Grunwald may be looking to amass "cheap" trade assets.

If the Knicks match Lin's offer sheet then I don't mind this trade. More depth. If not, replacing Lin by Felton probably deserves a F next time ESPN updates their off-season grades.

Pursuing Felton instead of Lin would be one of the most knuckleheaded move in the history of the NBA.

i really hope it doesn't happen.

I couldn't agree anymore. Lin not only made the team better, we were something like 6-1 w Melo, stat, Lin, and Woodson together, but the nba loved this guy. I can't believe the Knicks are
Doing this from soo many diff levels!

Not to mention they have very few picks in the next few years.

How is Line greedy ?

he signed the best deal he could.... like every other nba player....

He hasnt made any money in the nba yet...

Carmelo refused to sign here outright when he was a free agent wanted sign and trad so he can get more money and costs knicks good players
