But RJ Barrett seems pretty happy to be here. Melo didn't want to leave until he realized that the direction the team was going no longer fit his timeline. I mean even Amar'e has had great things to say about NY. It was just unfortunate his body failed him.

Of course, we should be worried. Building a culture takes a long time and I hope this is the case. I don't think Fizdale will be the answer because the guy HAS NO strategy. He's just a slick talker until I see something different.

Y'all keep thinking we can continue to tank and STILL get top notch superstars. I've told you all many times... superstars HATE rookies. Veterans don't like rookies because they rarely win and it's for them to rebuild. They dislike them unless you're a Shaq/Duncan that took the league by storm.

What we need to do is WIN with our core group and then stars will take a notice.

The Knicks need to start winning if they want to attract big name free agents. Next one is in 2 years. If they sign DLo to a reasonable enough deal they can, in a couple years, be a winning team...with all players in their prime and on the uptick...with the flexibility and assets to take a jump.

Bottom line is that we haven’t had a winning culture since the 54 win team with Melo. No one is going to come to a 17 win team where our last 2 draft picks haven’t showed much promise. In hindsight if we had drafted Mitchell and Gilgeous-Alexander the last two years we might have had a shot.
