So when does it become preferable to have Shumpert play overseas instead of sitting around working out at GTech and possibly finding his way into the dreaded "pickup games"?

Well, most teams are about to start preseason training in the next couple of weeks, so right about now would be a good time to figure out what he's going to do. Our Euroleague club could use someone who can defend all 3 perimeter positions ...

If an out clause can be worked in I'd say send him over then. I'd rather get him some work against better talent than what he'd see if he stayed in college for the season than just having him do whatever.

If I were a gambling man, I'd say an opt-out clause would be pointless.

So...you don't want him to be fundamentally sound, a good shooter, and a solid distributor?

Don't tell me you think that, at this point in his life, Shump will become soft from playing a year in Europe. Especially since that would be dumb to think that a year overseas would change how a could who grew up playing in Chicago approaches the game, and that there have been plenty of Euros who have proven not to be soft.

Shumpert = Dynamic player.

Go Knicks.

Lol last short season = Knicks in Finals...

I hope for a whole season, of course.

Not enough Knick talk but.... Let's say:

Billups remains solid and healthy = finals mvp big shot vet.
Stat = awesome
Melo = top notch
Douglas one of the best reserve guards in league if he is On, Consistency? he did have surprising assists games here and there and tied Knicks record for 3pot makes in a game. That game was awesome.

Fields, many great moments, will that stop after one season? Nope he will get better, great rebounder for sure, clutch shots, consistency? new aspects of his game? likely.

Turiaf, if healthy a better passing big man always has been above average shot blocker and does score too, or has the ability.

Jerome Jordan, 60% FG blocl a shot 7 footer, we help for sure.

Jorts is our new epic player, he looks like D-lee he played real tough in college surely he can have some dynamic impacts.

I believe in Rautins he showed defensive tenacity if he gains comfort he can be a solid combo guard 3 point "specialist" hopefully.

Walker hits shots, has potential still.. he always can stand out.

Jeffries unique defensive player hopefully he gets more confident offensively.

Shawne Williams, in summer league i thought we should take him over Eqing Jr and we did, he showed good defensive attributes and as we all saw he can be a knock down shooter.

D Brown has potential we did not see enough of him but he is athletic, has room for growth and to showcase his talents.

I enjoyed A. Carter either we retain him or Shumpert / Rautins become the back up PGs which is good for growth of young players. Anthony Carter really busted ass at times last season... whoever gets him is fortunate.

KNIckS Knicks Knicks KNICKS...

and I wanted Shumpert and we got him... I think Iman Shumpert is a very good player and he will do well.
Top athlete, smart, Combo guard with SG size.. defensive..

Go Iman!

^Nah...look at the video I posted too. He walks the same way after throwing down an unbelievably acrobatic dunk. No way he's hurting there. Just a weird ass walk. Maybe he's takin it in the pooper on the weekends.

That dunk is impressive. Kid is athletic and seems to have a good work ethic. Can't wait to see him with the Knicks. Unfortunately, that might take a while.
