Only if they can flip Sexton to the Bulls for their lottery pick or yo NO in a package for AD. Sexton doesn't make sense on this team. The Knicks main get trading the most valuable asset they've had in near 2 decades was Dennis Smith Jr. If they don't land Durant (and go win now) it doesn't make sense to basically make one of these guys a bench player.

Yes. Not that I think Sexton is trash but I do think DSJ has more upside to get his shot right and be a valuable player.

I think a few do.

Hunter, Clarke, even Reddish who I'm not crazy about. You know, guys who can play defense.

RJ barret is going to do a knicks workout on next monday june 10 according to berman.
The Knicks, meanwhile, are scheduled to work out Barrett on June 10, though the situation is fluid. Barrett, whose offensive game is still incomplete in some scouts’ eyes, staged his pro day at UCLA last Tuesday but did not do drills. It was attended only by Knicks West Coast scout Mike Smith and scouting director Kristian Petesic.

That may explain why Memphis asked Barrett for a workout.

Well if there is any truth to the Atlanta rumors it could be because Perry and the Knicks are so sure that Durant us coming and already are planning for guys like Hunter and Reddish. But IMO it's unlikely that both would be gettable at 8 and 10.

No wonder we doing due diligence. I only do something like this if we are sure we are getting 2 max cats and want to add a guy who would fit in better.

Cavs drafted, Tristan, Anothony Bennett, Andrew Wiggins...pretty much every top Canadian prospect except the best one in Jamal Murray.

Not surprised they want RJ

I see the trend but what does that mean? is there some Toronto demographic connection?

not sure tbh ohio is kinda close so I'm sure canadians travel to the games. Maybe bc they have had Canadians in the past they made a TV deal w a Canadian company to air their games here. Saw that it was profitable and want to keep that market happy, I'm not sure tho.

Probably Cleveland. Along with the report that the Cavs would take Culver (over Barrett) even if they were picking at no.2 LOL.

Gotta love it.

It's clear that short of Zion Williamson, the one player in this draft that would be absolutely perfect for the Cavs is RJ Barrett.

The Cavs would have to pay through the teeth and knock my socks off to get me to trade the perfect player for them to them. And no. The 5th and 26th picks are hardly, remotely enough.

I was actually really interested to see how the Cavs were gonna dress up a deal to move up. Came to find 26 and JR Smith (wtf) and realized it's just more static. We've got a consensus three player draft and these trade rumors are absolutely abysmal so far. Someone needs to make an offer we can't refuse, these deals would get turned down in 2K.

People are wayyyy overvaluing future picks.
When you have a prospect that would be the number 1 pick in most draft classes, would you really turn that down to move back, draft average players, and gamble on getting a future average player?

Would you trade Mitch Robinson for 2 average prospects? If not, then stop fooling yourselves and underselling RJ

If Ja falls to three, I'm praying that PHX makes us a crazy offer to get hands on him. I'm really skeptical.

In case this hasn't been posted already

https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2019/03/24/rj-barrett-may-be-second-to-one-but-hes-the-complete-package/amp/

It's an article with a ton of quotes from various sources talking about Barrett. Obviously a lot about his talent and skills but most focus on talking about Barrett, his mentality, demeanor and character. Skills and physical tools aside, this is the type of person you want playing for you.

And it also gives more glimpses at the brotherly relationship Zion and RJ have.

I already said it wasn’t a real rumor just discussed with the athletic guy.

Culver pride in defense intrigued me but you guys don’t care about that a lick lol. (See Frank)

Would you guys want a trade that was similar to ATL/DAL deal last year?

This could be a prelude to the AD trade. What if NO would rather have Sexton than Frank?
