The NBA players nowadays are just unlikeable. If they ain't in your team there is no reason to like them.

WHat's not to like about
Ju - a great family guy, remade his whole game
RJ - impeccable pedigree, hard worker, great character and additive
Quick - gotta love Quick! Great guy and unexpectedly valuable player.

And so on and so on. NO malingerers, crazies, criminals, druggies, or bad guys.

Even the one player I really can't stand is reportedly a decent guy the resto of the team really likes.

Oh yeah, well how many of them had to walk uphill (both ways) through 10 miles of snow just to get to school?

LOL ok, maybe nobody had to walk uphill BOTH ways to get to school — unless they lived in Escherville.

Last April, my wife left her accounting job becuase it required 2 subways and a bus. She started working as a home health aide, and walked 10 miles a day to see all her patients. (Now, she's in her second semester of nursing school). So if she can do that, these guys should walk 20 miles, pull sleds on the ice, and scale the Empire State Bldg. on the outside. (Not the tallest, but has a better history of being scaled by bests of all kinds.)

He’s one of the worst. He used to be one of the best but not anymore. It’s been documented his struggles with players names and the actual plays that are happening (I.e. 3’s vs 2’s). I think it’s a large part of why he’s retiring after this postseason.

I loved him when I was a kid and saw the Knicks win in the first month I ever watched a basketball game in my whole life. Marv on the radio play by play and later on TV was like a god to this kid. Of course, people are never really gods (apologies to an ex president) and like all other "gods," this one crumbled. Badly.

I consider Breen (with his play by play guy and 2 time Knicks championship Point God) to be the rightful heir to the throne of Knicks announcers. But even Kenny Albert is way better than those boring, untalented homies who call Nyets games.

The Knicks are playing with house money, too, this is all gravy now. The pressure that will be on the Knicks the rest of the way is from their coach and themselves.

True, but the media won't see it like that. They've pushed the Knicks up to a certain level that if we go down, there will be a lot of fans across the league and the media who will make it seem like it was such a horrible loss. Which it won't be. Atlanta has earned the position they're in.

In regards to the regular season vs the Hawks, you can throw that out the window. The playoffs are a completely different animal.

Well thanks for repeating back to me my point about the media using their goal post moving from doubt to support as reason to criticize the Knicks unfairly. You waited long enough for it to slide off the quotes so it looks like you are making that point to me but you can't fool me.

That's my point. Of course it doesn't change the fact that the Knicks are playing with house money ànd their sliding opinions doesn't change anything. The Knicks have exceeded expectations and a first round loss to a team ahead of them on the rebuild timeline isn't a failure.

Agree completely. The Knicks have taken a HUGE step this year, not only in player improvement and defense, but also in making NY an attractive destination for free agents. A first round loss is still a win for the season.

I agree that we are playing with house money. If we lose I'm not going to be angry. It's not like the Knicks are the #1 or #2 seed and underachieved. Knicks & Hawks have the same exact record and the Hawks arguably have more talent.

With that said, the Knicks do seem like a very tough matchup for Atlanta. It could be over in 5 if things go well.
