Funny thing is, not only are Nets losing face but do you really want to be someone's distant backup option? He won't be happy there. You want happy players.

Move on, show some dignity, but also it's bad roster management to be willing to take a guy who will only go there for money and then will be unhappy and handle losing badly. It's a lose-lose.

Denver will finally realize that he is only going to NY and will be desperate to get something out of it.

Gallo, Curry, Randolph (or 2012 pick from trading him), 2014 pick for Melo.

Exactly. Here's a nice example.

Amar'e = happy to be here. Playing great.

Melo = not happy to be there. Team is in turmoil.

Nets think to themselves....let's get Melo so he can be unhappy here instead. The phuck? :crazy:

100 percent agree. When the Grizzles signed Gay to that max deal, one thing they said to justify it was that it was important for the player to be happy. And I couldn't agree more. How do you know what Denver will accept from us or not?

How do you know they won't demand us to take Al, or JR, or demand Fields and Douglas.

I KNOW 100 PERCENT THAT WOULD BE INSANE IF THEY DID, but how do we know that they wont try to gauge us like they did with NJ?

Yeah. Couple of of files attempted to download. My anti virus caught them as threats. Windows exploits and a trojan. No harm no foul here. Sucks cause I wanted to watch it. It was playing behind the warnings but im not taking a chance. Its all good.

Difference is if Melo will only sign an extension with NY, if he makes that known to management, no way the Nets give up Favors + Harris + draft picks for unextended Melo.

If Melo does say that to management, our offer would be the best offer available to Denver, just because no team is gonna beat our package with no extension guarantee. Just need Melo to stick to his guns.

i dont see the big deal of taking on harrington, azu + mason gets it done, and gives us a option off the bench
