"Here's deal on #Knicks thinking on Jeremy Lin and behavior since July 1. Yes, club brass fumed Rockets revised offer sheet on them after it became publicly known #Knicks would match. But their feelings on Lin has soothed. Knicks realize this could last chance to make his big score and he went after it. His agents miscalculated, telling him #Knicks would match no matter what, not realizing Felton could be an option. Once Felton was an option, Linsanity was over. Been over since Saturday night."

like i said in response to this exact post in other threads. lin didn't take the knicks to the playoffs. he may have helped save the season but in turn it just kept dantoni around for another losing streak. the knicks turned it around once dantoni was fired. the last month of the season the knicks had one of if not the best record of any team and that was mostly without lin and stat.

Wait, how did his agent miscalculate again? They got him, the most money possible for the next three years. He already turns down endorsements and now he isn't paying state income tax.

People said the same thing about the rockets last year, the year before last year. Facts are, the rockets, given recent struggle, have constantly pushed for the playoffs, remained above 50% every year and never tanked, stayed competitive in the toughest division.

Had rockets been in the east they would have made the playoffs every single year whereas Knicks have won 1 **** playoffs games in the past 10 years.( and laughing stock too)

Who's on the rockets? Promising young players with upside and a highly possible trade happening in the near future for a star. Knicks? Guys went 18-25 and a washed up Kidd, fat Felton and a stupid knucklehead in JR.

Knick have no cap flexibility, already paying luxury tax and none of their players are getting younger. Yea right they are so getting CP3.

haaa knicks will be a top seed in the east and the rockets will miss the playoffs again. didn't you just lose all you best players?

knicks were 18-6 under woodson you tool. dantoni, injuries and no pg led to the team playing poorly early in the season. once dantoni was gone it was like a coming out party. the knicks were blowing teams out left and right. expect to see more of that next year.

Lol...Rockets and their fans have been saying this for years. No stars want to come to Houston. Many have flat out said they wouldn't extend if traded there.

You got Lin. But if some reports are true, Lin's agents screwed him in a money grab and cost him NY endorsement dollars he'll likely never see again.

No he didn't his agent failed. If he would have went to more teams he could have gotten the entire 40 mill but he just bent over and dropped his panties for the first team that talked to him and he moved out of a big market to do it. So gj x 2 for his agent :wink:

Interesting. That admittedly makes more sense than Dolan getting so angry over the "second offer" that he doesn't take it out of spite or something. So they believe Lin was worth the first figures, but the second deal pushed them to Felton? They couldn't have been all that high on him to begin with if they let him walk no matter how you look at it, I suppose.

Also shows quite the lack of communication the Knicks had with Lin and his agent throughout the process if true.

Maybe it’s just me son but I’d much rather see Lin going up against Charles and Kenny in the TNT studios during the playoffs while the Rockets wait to see where their ping pong ball pops out than say D Rose or DWade dead ass..
