Frank hitting jumpers in an open gym isn't really impressive. Rather see him get buckets against NBA players in pick up games. He needs to get into those Rico Hines runs or Brickley's.

Frank may still be growing (taller). He could easily be another inch taller next summer.

I think he's a guy that needs a system and a role. At least at this point. Isn't he big enough at this point, and long enough, to be a 3 and D back up 1-3 player? I realize he needs the shot, but if he focused on that over play making it would benefit him. Sure Rondo, Rubio etc are solid point guards who aren't great play makers, are good defenders, etc. but Frank hasn't shown to be a play makers like them.

He may also be a guy really just needs a fresh start on a new team/environment. Hope he figures it out though.

Good to have thoughts as you do, but I wasn't really speaking to any of that stuff. (Whilst I have my own views I'm not really interested in engaging on the board about them.)

More, the point was that (apart from looking more brolic) it's hard to know, but it kind-of looks from various photos that he's somewhat taller than when he was drafted - maybe already 2 or 3 inches - and it would be not uncommon to continue to grow taller for about another year. (And that's about the limit.)

Also, his relaxed reach is crazy in the line-up pick where he's at the end next to Fizdale. In a year's time he may be 6'8" in bare feet and a 7'3"/7'4" wingspan. And still able to guard 1s.

Maybe the Knicks summon Frank to play summer league. That would absolutely be the last nail in Fizdale's coffin as a competent coach for me, but others will differ.

But if there are clear thinkers in the Knicks FO Frank will spend as long as possible in Dallas trying to groove/regroove the things in the workout videos - say until August 10th, and then go to France and go through ~3 weeks of camp for the FIBA tourney.

Then the tourney. Then take 2 weeks off. Come back to NY at the start of October.

I saw early on Frank had a scary nba body. It’s tantalizing to hope he still puts it together.

Just keep practicing shooting man, in the end basketball is a game of putting the ball through the hoop.

I've never doubted this kid. He clearly has a good mind for the game - you don't become an elite defender at a young age by accident. He has a strong work ethic based on the improvements he has made to his body. His shot has always looked good mechanically. We may just have to wait the full 3-5 years to see this kid develop fully.

I still believe in Frank. He will be an x-factor if he can be somewhat of an offensive threat.

Franks biggest x factor is is 3 point shot, that keeps him on the floor and opens up his drive. But if hr can up his 3 point shot to 34~36% he will be on the floor no matter who we sign because of his defense. Or even if dont sign anyone a 3 point shooting frank will be a good fit with rj and dsj.
