They just want it too bad. That's why they look like they aren't giving any effort or executing any kind of offense. They are worried about pleasing the fans.

This...is truly awful.
I will root against this franchise from this point forward until Dolan caves mountains and mountains of public pressure that will eventually topple him and sells the team.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Why are we looking at coaches now?!! Let Mike Miller take over, try to sign Uriji or Presti in the off season and let them make the decision on our next coach. Why can’t we do stuff right.

Kill me now, if Jackson or Kidd are hired.

Billups is one of those players I actually admired (no homo). Not the fastest guy on the court and not scoring savvy either but he is an exemplar of smart play and veterancy. Always heady.

In US politics, ultimately the country gets the leadership it deserves every single time. Basically true for Knick fans also.

I think Chauncey could be a really good coach. He's a bright, articulate dude. Smart player. Not that any of these things are guaranteed to translate to coaching success.
Hell no to Mark Jackson or Jason Kidd.

I actually like Chauncey, and I don't want to see him throw away his coaching career by starting off here.

Kidd and Jackson are proven losers. Just like Fizdale was.
Chauncey is an unknown.

Re: WOJ: Knicks president [Mills] angling for David Fizdale firing
Everyone is looking for a brand new coach from outside candidates. That means Mills and Perry are choosing that guy.
Just promote Miller, like has already been set up. If he turns out to be great, great, he's under contract. If he sucks, he can be demoted, shown the door etc, when the new regime is brought in to replace Statler and Waldorf

Yea I'm all for Miller finishing off the season if they really dump Fizdale. They need to dump all 3 of Merry Pillzdale at the same time, and start fresh with a new president of basketball operations, who gets to pick his GM, who gets to pick his coach. In the meantime let Miller drive the tank. Maybe he gets them to progress or something too.

I'll settle for a two part deal.
Fire Fizzles and promote Miller. Let the season play out. (The Knicks won't win much either way).
End of season, before any significant decisions need to be made, fire Mills and Perry.
Hire someone who really understands basketball and give them full autonomy. If that means Dolan spies like Alan Houston need to be fired, I'm fine with it; I'd prefer it. But I acknowledge that that probably won't happen.
Really, the only lucky Knick fans are those like 10 and under, who will live to be fans after Dolan's death.

What will happen instead? Mills and Perry will hire a new coach first and draft a player, then before the free agency they both get canned

Most likely scenario:
Fizdale fired
Miller interim coach
Perry\Mills fired
*Knicks conduct search for GM*
*No sane GM agrees to sign with Knicks*
Alan Houston becomes GM
Knicks demote Miller
Knicks hire Mark Jackson or some other sh*tty coach.
Alan Houston embarks on Tier 3 FA spending spree at Dolan's behest
