Took two single solitary draft picks to go from 'this is an amazing front office' to trashing them completely.
Good consistency.

Lonzo would do nothing bet help Obi Toppin develop and put him in his spots to succeed. This team is young we need a playmaker to help get them going. Lonzo would be the cheapest route to doing this with high upside.
Ok so I liked Lonzo a lot in college and pictured him being a fantastic NBA playmaking PG but here is the reality with Lonzo, he's not a floor general like at all. He's not the guy that puts players in their spots. Does he have fantastic vision when making a read? Yes. But does he control the team and control the floor? No.
He's not aggressive getting to the basket, never breaks down the defense to open up shots for his guys. He doesn't have that gravity of a lead guard. He is way more of a glue guy type, makes the right pass on the perimeter and can knock down the open jumper.
By the way I'm not saying Lonzo wouldn't fit on our team, but in terms of getting guys in their positions he's just not that type of guy. I feel like RJ might have more of those lead playmaker qualities to his game than Lonzo does.

Usually people who are funny can pull off sarcasm on a forum.
You, my friend, are probably the least funniest person I've ever encountered on a message board.

Saw some Bulls fans saying they would have rather stayed at 7.
Pistons really tried to move up to 3 for Patrick Williams but “had to end up” with Killian Hayes?
There’s like at least 10 other players I like more than Patrick. Bulls def would’ve been better off at 7.
Lol if that Pistons report is true then their new front office sucks
After hearing that, I'm not sure if I want to punch the Pistons in the face even more or thank them since we wouldn't have taken Hayes anyway. I had Toppin over Deni and the rest so good with how it shook out for our pick.

Which means getting a PG and shooters is a priority.
Obi thrived as a 5 in a four out offense. We need to figure out how to get him that spacing when he's surrounded by Mitch and RJ.

getting a PG and playing him at the 5 is the best for him.
We will do neither

Re: Draft Night Part Deux - Knicks with Picks 25 and 33
It's unrealistic to expect the Knicks to be able to turn things around and address all needs in one night is the problem I see happening here. Just because they didn't draft a PG isn't the end of the world. They needed to draft the best player available is what they needed cause the one thing that they have an even bigger need for than a PG is talent. Toppin was the best talent at 8 so they got that right. Everything is relative. Toppin as a top 3 pick would have been idiotic. Toppin as a top 5 pick would be questionable. Toppin as the 8th pick? Was an excellent choice.

Kind of weird the only thing he was average in was in pick and roll situations. You would think with a competent PG he should be great there.

We should be trying to sign Ibaka, 3.3 threes per game in only 27mpg, he'd allow us to play Obi more to his strengths and allow us to also keep Mitch.

I mean there was a reason that an all time great season for a college offensive player in a weak top of the draft slipped to 8. I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to know.

You have to think we made out well, when we were able to pick the player we wanted at 8. We probably pick that same player with the 4th pick...
