they have let that deranged lunatic run rampant for 4 years and stage a coup the other day and are getting a committee, a committee, to see if they can remove him 12 days before he is going to be done with his term. I hope i'm wrong but i see nothing substantial happening.

he is already walking back his tough talk - setting the table for the Dems to take the cowardly inaction path.

All of this bashing and no substance. In the two years since the Dems recaptured the House they produced a massive stack of legislative bills that Mitch would not let proceed.

Please itemize EXACTLY what you would have done this past four years without Sentate control.

 - did you ask me to itemize a list. FOH - i'm union.

so IOW you have no answer about what they could have done that would have satisfied you

This is sad. I didn't ask for a list. If you can't even name one thing the Democrats would do that would satisfy you than don't complain the next time someone responds to you with a request for an example when you make a generalized statement without subtance.

This is not the place for you to engage in sloganeering without anything to back it up and then falsely claim someone is gaslighting you when they ask you what the hell you are talking about. You spewed hot air without substance. You're being a real dick

I’m betting that Manchin is just grandstanding because he knows that there won’t be 60 votes in the Senate to pass the 2000 dollar checks. This is why the Senate needs to get rid of the filibuster so then Manchin really doesn’t have as much power. You can dangle goodies for a single Republican Senator to be the 50th vote. I think people pay too much attention to Manchin.

I hope you're right. There are tricks to subvert the filibuster, so it is possible. I'm no expert, but what I posted about it made it sound like you can create new rule precedents that basically de-fang it.

They'll try and reason with them first and when that doesn't work, then they'll abolish the filibuster. Maybe if we start actually getting things done for regular working class people, these lunatics will calm down.

For what it’s worth he’s already walked back errr clarified his comments. Listen I don’t know why Manchin Manchins but keeping the filibuster is just giving him a built in excuse. I don’t know why people get so worked up over Manchin, assuming they get rid of the filibuster does anyone believe he’s going to be the lone vote holding up a public option?

He ignores the fact that the Democrats did impeach Trump and there’s another entire party that’s chose to aide and abet him instead of removing him from office you know which would have prevented all we’re seeing now. I swear a lot of posters in this thread don’t even want to discuss politics, they just want to be doom and gloom and complain about Democrats.
