Caballero and Rice need to start. SS and C.

Looks like Jasson, Volpe, and Wells aren't cutting it...that's really alarming. The C part really annoys me, considering how many good catchers we've passed around the league. Losing Durbin for Devin Williams is annoying the eff out of me too.

Seems like we can't develop players.

I know people are frothing at the mouth for Lombard Jr to take Volpe's place but from what I saw he's struggling against minor league pitching.

Volpe is so bad he’s on base % during this slump is the worst a Yankee has had since 1905. Yankees bat around the order and he makes 2 of the 3 outs in the inning. Genuinely shocked how bad this season has gone for him.

Watching it happen was insane. That was the longest half inning I can remember in long time. Volpe being two of the three outs is insanely bad. This kid fell off a cliff. Sad to watch.

Warren gave up 4 runs but has 0 ER cause of Volpe. Get rid of this kid. He's choking like he's Julius Randle in a playoff game. Plays as much defense as Randle too

Man…I lost a lot of hope once we got wrecked by the Red Sox. There’s a lot of mental weakness on this team.

I think we all know what the problems are surrounding this team. Weak manager. Penny pinching owners. Whatever Cashman is doing is never enough.

BUT

This is the team we have to root for. That's all I'm doing now. Hoping to enjoy games with no expectations for a championship. Maybe we get lucky? :dontknow:

He's been in a slump ever since returning from that injury. It's gonna be dependent on his teammates to carry him for once. But yea...I want to see him get back cause I don't want that annoying **** to win MVP

Yah...I mean, there are fun moments and guys to root for. It sucks cause Judge got injured cause he's doing historic stuff. Schlittler is fun to watch. I like Will Warren...he was bad last year and he bounced back in a huge way. Ben Rice, as well. I'm a big Weaver fan and I hope we bring him back. Rodon has been having a bounceback season of his own. Stanton is having a historic bounceback. Grisham has given us more than I bargained for. Lots of good people to root for.

This year, the Mets got 38.2 IP of 6.28 ERA, 1.603 WHIP, of pitching from Montas, for $17m.

If he indeed misses all of 2026, it will cost another $17m. That's $34m very well spent for Stevie C.

I feel really good about our chances to win the World Series if we can play only losing teams during the postseason.

Snide remark aside, it was a good night for us. We made up some ground in the postseason standings. I can do my fantasy draft tomorrow without carrying the rage of the Yankees with me.
