If you're born in New York, you should be a Knicks fan for life. If you switch teams, everything is null, and you aren't a real fan. Please, stop with this ish. I can't be the only person from New York that liked Jets/Knicks/Yankees on a die-hard basis since I was born, am I?

You know...we've never really discussed that. Go start a thread about it.

Same with me. I would be ex-communicated from my family if it were any different.

To clarify, I wasn't a fan of any other teams until I became a fan of the Knicks, Jets, and unfortunately, the Mets (when they got Piazza). I'm only 20 years old, so that's why I didn't get into these teams until I was 12 or so.

And I agree, I also get annoyed when people are fans of random teams when they've lived in NY their whole life.

But everyone deserves a second chance. :)

No, he can't.

To stretch the play for a couple of minutes, sure, but not in the traditional PF way. Maybe (MAYBE!) someday - he got a lot stronger since he came into the league. But actually it's kind of hard to tell since he plays for a coach who doesn't value the banging type of forward.

No. Talent wise alone I'd probably do it, but this isn't a talent for talent swap. Denver really does not have the kind of leverage in this situation to get that kind of package. To be honest, I will be surprised if you get 2 out of those 3.

I would only offer one right now and perhaps offer two as a final offer. But I definitely wouldn't trade all three.

hmm 13to 14 million in cap space a Pick and one good young player is pretty sweet deal considering you might loose for nothing in the off season. now NJ can offer a worse player not as much cap room and multiple picks that are protected or at the end of the first round. You choose.

I was never a sports fan and I was raised by a single mother with no older brothes/sisters. I notice the difference how I have picked all my favorite teams based on video games and my 7 year old brother who has a father is a fan of the Giants/Yankees/Knicks. I was more of a Ravens/Shaq/LeBron fan. Now I am a Giants/Yankees/Knicks fan. Been a Giants fan for awhile though. I hate baseball but my 7 year old brother loves the Yankees so their my favorite also even though I never watch them. So I was basically Giants/Yankees/Heat. Now I have Knicks. So I am a all NY man.

wow if you guys really think you only have to trade one of those players then all i have to say is good luck. Just because the nuggets need to trade him doesn't mean we will give him away. looks like the nets can put up a better deal than you guys.

They've had the better deal since September and he is still not in New Jersey. He doesn't want to go to a losing team and especially not to the bastard child in NJ. He is not signing an extension there.

my line up would be:

pg Felton

sf Melo
pf Gallo
c Stat

and have wilson come of the bench backing up three positions, the sg sf and pf.

Knicks to Melo: you are good, but you aren't worth a couple of marginal players and a couple of future picks. Melo to the Knicks: good luck trying to build a contender and acquiring another star caliber player over the next couple of years, and don't forget to come watch me play in Brooklyn after the lockout.

lol

If all we are offering are marginal players, why do you want them? You should be pushing for the Nets trade, no?

I am pretty sure Melo knows our stand and we know his. Don't worry. Things will get worked out sometime in February.
