For the guys that wouldn't want Davis, what alternative would you prefer?

You can't play defense while you are sitting on the bench...enough of these one sided players who you expect to be 'covered from the bench'....

If Baron Davis is getting torched by Rose, Rondo, D-Will, CP3, etc. just bring Iman in. Its pretty simple.

Manhattan Project wrote:I mean we all know that you have to overpay for centers in this league, especially one's that have proven that they can actually play. I'm not upset with this contract, just still rather shocked because where did this come from?

We have all clamored to improve our interior defense, team defense, improve on the boards and gain a legit shot blocking presence. Chandler does improve all of these areas, as well as giving us a good rebounder on the offensive end.

I know, it's crazy, right? People have said "why don't we get Chandler?" now and then, but I've always dismissed it as a possibility. It really changes the complexion of the season.

i have serious doubts too man. i'm guessing it won't be for more then this year if it doesn't work.

He'd just be keeping the seat warm until Nash comes.

If I need to compare a contract to the worst contract ever to justify it then it's not a good deal.

What good bigs are there not on a rookie deal who get paid less than 10-12 million? We overpaid a little, but it was something that needed to happen to make us contend.

its impossible to say if we are overpaying as we havent seen the impact.

If Chandler makes us a good interior defensive team, increases Amare's longevity and durability and makes us a good rebounding team is he still overpaid?

Remember when Steven A Smith screamed the knicks/Dolan would be stupid not to get in on the Chandler sweepstakes yesterday? Dolan jumps. Apparently SAS should be running our team.

@RoundballMiner Jeremy Wagner
I hope Billups goes to MIA to see Bron and Wade react as both are calling for the ball for the final shot then Mr. Big Shot fires a 28' 3.

STAT better not be put on the trading block for a PG. Replacing Amar'e is harder then replacing a great PG in this era.

Stephen A is a mouthpiece for Isiah.

Guess who Dolan loves?

I don't even understand why we're even entertaining this discussion.

Damn... Chandlers two season prior to going to dallas were:

45 GP, 8.8ppg, 1.2BPG and 8.7 RBG

Followed by

51GP, 6.5ppg, 1.1bpg, and 6.3 RBG

14 million per? You damn crazy...
