easy for you to say sitting on a computer. Athletes have to find a fine line of talking to the media and just keeping quiet. If they keep saying "no comment" they get labeled as a fraud and un-willing to talk to the media. If they speak there mind they get ridiculed.

I really think people read into those comments way too much. He probably didn't even know what was going on and a reporter said "how do you feel about Lin getting 15 million for the last year of his contract"....anyone with a brain would have a first reaction of "damn that is ridiculous"

no?

"Melo what do you think of Lin's contract?"

Happy to see Melo clearing things up. Should make this thread a little more palatable now.

LOL, Melo really should stop talking about anyone's contract situation...it just never looks good, esp considering everything we gave up for him and how we paid him...

Literally none of them have said that.

Bing

This is what I meant by Melo not being media savvy. Should have said this from the start. But I agreed with him anyways and didn't think he meant it as a bash against Lin in the first place. Stil, if he had said this from the beginning, there would have been no confusion.

No. He doesn't have to say those exact word. Maybe he can say something like, "I don't comment on other player's contract situations." Then that would have been the end of it.
