Why? They have almost a perfect starting 5. Nothing the Lakers give them now is better for them now or in the future if we're being honest... Maybe Lonzo? That's about it.
also, you need a guard or wing who can create his own shot for himself with in the final moments of playoff games. in that respect, butler is their most important piece.
i don't think their starting 5 is perfect however. there's only 1 ball and lots of guys that want it and not enough 3 point shooting. butler and tobias can shoot but they just don't want to hang on the perimeter. what makes golden state such a good super team is that they don't need the ball as much. draymond doesn't. klay doesn't. even curry will just hoist them up a bunch without dribbling. the only one who really does is durant. cousins too now i guess.
I think Tobias will adjust fine and if people watched the Sixers, then they'd know that they haven't been able to survive without Ben and Embiid on the floor and now they can throw lineups out there without Ben and Embiid that won't get completely torched. Losing Muscala was addition by subtraction tbh.
Tobias is in the 95th percentile on spot ups this year. He's a deadly shooter, he just hasn't been in the right situation to be utilized more off ball and now he is and he's actually still been a really good ball handler too.
I don't understand why people underrate him so much. IMO, he gets typecasted as like a good not great player and I think that's flat out wrong. He's scoring 20 ppg on an above 60% true shooting percentage as the first option on a team that was in the thick of the West playoff race... He's not a max guy but to me he could easily be the 2nd offensive option on a good team.
I mean look at how people drool over Bradley Beal and can anyone give me a reason why Beal is a better player than Tobias Harris? Seriously look at the numbers and give me a reason because I can't see any...
