We were one Ottavino pitch away from being up 2-0.

Also, why in the hell didn’t Boone leave Greene in in game 2?

Yes, that game still pisses me the **** off because we should have won it.

**** Sanchez and his hr coming while they’re down 5 runs. Honestly, this entire team’s performance tonight is beyond pathetic. Swinging at horrible pitches out of the strike zone, making horrible errors, not capitalizing on two bases loaded situations with the crowd having their backs. we are to the Astros what the Twins are to us. Not gonna change, especially if they resign Cole.

Always is. This team doesn't fight in the postseason and hasn't for a while.

Look at Didi giving up an at-bat.

Didi and Encarnacion playing themselves off the team next year. Ottavino reminds me of Kyle Farnsworth/Tom Gordon. Great stuff, but lacks the mental makeup to succeed in high pressure situations.

Also, I’m over Sanchez. However, catcher is Probably the thinnest positions in the sport so there’s no real suitable replacement. Love Romine as a backup, but he’s not starting catcher material.

Next year Andujar is coming back. Once again, another right at bat, with below average defense. Not exactly what they need.

I simply don’t trust Severino or Stanton to stay healthy and be productive when it matters most.

This team will win 100 plus games again easily next year. But as constructed, they are not built for the post season.

Tapped out after the 5th inning myself. I had other things to take care of.

Sucks to go out this way 3rd year in a row.

I'm sure the Astros, if they win game 5, will have a tough series with the Nationals but will edge them out and win the WS again.

That'll make 3 straight years we'll get knocked out of the Playoffs by the would-be champions.

We have to go out and get pitching this winter. It's a must.

Open up the checkbook for Cole. Forget Kershaw. He wouldn't be a good fit in Yankees Stadium (lol, could you imagine?). Greinke's not a good fit either. Having Severino come back strong would make a big difference. Then someone like Wheeler becomes more palatable. But the Astros may go after him thinking that they won't be able to afford Cole.

There's always Jason Vargas. I believe he's also a free agent this offseason. :D

You laugh about Vargas but I’m positive Cashman would consider him.

I didn’t watch from 6th inning on. I knew the Yankees had absolutely nothing left with the at bats they were having. Series over, same old Yankees.

Really tough to see CC go out like that, it was disrespectful to put him into the inning with a man on 1st and 3rd with no outs, he should have started that inning over Ottavino. CC should have been brought back as a 6th starter and have load management so he could be a starter in the playoffs team did a horrible job by not having a plan in place for CC, I still stand by signing Patrick Corbin over Happ, who would have been taken under CC's wing in his first year in pinstripes.

It's just baffling to me how we've been able to hit with RISP all year and now we're Deer in headlights every time someone is on base....

I feel for Ottavino. He was unhittable for 95% of the season and now he's getting booed in the playoffs. He looks like he's out of gas.

You have no idea how many times over the past days I've relived that DUMB move. Playoff baseball Mr. Boone is different and you ride the hot hand. Greene faced 4 batters and struck out 2 of them! He had his good stuff and Mr. Boone removed him. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

When we lost that game - I had a bad feeling that's coming to end

The Yankees' lineup is structurally flawed and not built for postseason play. The only guys I would retain from this lineup would be Torres, Judge, Hicks, and LeMahieu

It was over when Houston beat Tampa Bay in order to advance and face the Yankees.

Except the Yankees are stuck with Stanton's monstrous contract.

Return to New York Knicks
