no qb in this draft is better than jones.

if you want a qb, it's next year.

It's good because teams that want to jump the Panthers at 6 who want a QB. Great trade up to 5 situation. Already hear the Steelers want to move up for a QB.

also read giant are interested in trading one of the first rounders if a team wants a qb.

but that article also said schoen with the bills never traded down, only up ... but schoen wasn't running the show.

This is a deep draft and it would be nice to have more ammo next year to possibly trade up next year.

People already said rumors are Giants willing to trade down which is smart. Rumors are at senior ball

That why Willis showing out in senior ball is a good thing. 5 would be the spot to move up if Carolina is truly after QB.

I don't think it's likely, but I'm hoping one of the QBs is able to raise their stock enough for teams to consider trading up to 1st for them

I'm not sold on either Thibs or Hutch fully anymore, and I don't love Neal as a 1st overall option for us

So trading back to like, 6 with the Panthers would be ideal, cause we could still get a good lineman or Hamilton if he's still there, plus pick up some extra assets

Actually, the ideal would be convincing the Jets that Thibodeaux can be their Nick Bosa, then trading 1 for 4 and 10, but that isn't looking super likely right now.

Less than zero chance.

And latest draft rumors are that the Jets have a decent chance of landing him at 4, if they don't choose to trade down (which seems like the most likely option out there considering Douglas and the needs of the team).

Jermaine Johnson and one of the top 2 OL is what the giants need. Forget about trading down. Giants need high end talent fist and for most. Worry about adding depth in the later rounds.

I think you can still get a good Olineman and pass rush even if you trade down with one of the picks. We don't even know if JJ is top 10 guy yet. I really like him and he is shooting up the boards. So we might have to use 7 on him with the way he has shown out at SB.

But if you want ammo to eventually be able to trade up for the QB you want in the future it makes sense to build up that war chest.

Giants need great not good. There is no pash rusher in this draft that is as complete as Johnson. Dude flew under the radar. People are already saying they seem him being better than the first 2 guys projected to go. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leap frogs one of them once he comes in for other workouts.

The greatness of pass rushers and OL are all within reach at 5&7. I’m not reading out that spot. I’m not trading out of there based on a hope. Giants traded on a hope last year and ended up passing on a generational player in Parsons. No team in position for Young or CJ will trade out those spots next year and no QB next year after those 2 is worth passing on a rusher like JJ or an OL like Neal or Ekwonu.

jermaine johnson put up those numbers in the acc, a very weak conference.

you can't ignore that.

if you trade down you can most definitely get a great, not good offensive lineman.

lindebaum is supposed to be generational but he's not going top 10 because he's a center.

draft a DE #5
trade down and draft linderbaum,
draft zion johnson in 2nd round.

a lot of scouts says this top 10 is relatively weak in terms of top end talent. The draft is really deep with a lot of good players but the top end isn't superstar potential. So if there is a trade down im 100% looking into it.

Need to draft a top OL at the top that you really like if he’s there to pair with Thomas. That’s a start. The mock drafts are unpredictable. By the draft Giants could be in even better position. I trust the new staff to have solid eyes.

linderbaum is the best offensive lineman in the draft but because he plays center, nobody is taking him top 10 ... maybe not even top 15.
