Honestly what’s the difference? We’re so hurt up for a legit PG in his prime, I’d take losing with Fox over losing with Randle any day.

Dude I would be so happy.

It’s so obvious we need a pg that randle plays pg.

When randle acts like a point guard and there is ball movement we are pretty good.

Obi and randle defense is very similar and all obi needs to do is shoot a better three

That fact that everyone loves this trade makes me nervous.

Recently it’s the moves that everyone sh*ts on that turn out well (I.e. Rose trade, trading our 2021 pick, drafting Grimes/Quickley)

The moves people love, (signing Kemba/Fournier) have not gone well

DeAndre Hunter (paid)
Bogie (paid)
Gallo (paid)
Collins (paid)
Huerter (higher pick)
Lou Will
Jalen Johnson

Cam Reddish

Nothing fair about his situation. He pretty much going through what Obi going through but worse.

To me cam seems very clunky and Lackadaisical. Im sorry to say this but at times looks like elf Payton. He will miss easy layups and his midrange is really bad. The one thing I will say is this kid got length and does have raw talent. But I feel like he never ever goes hard all the time. I mean he basically the same player he was in college. ( which wasn’t good) He was labeled as someone with RAW skill. But maybe RJ can show him a thing or two….

Weird stat: when he went out for injury the hawks became the best team in the league with the best record in I think the 30 game stretch

Now he came back this season and the hawks are playing exactly how they were in the beginning of last season when he was playing.

There is some thing that doesn’t sit right with me with this kid but…. Giving up someone we weren’t going to extend, who wasn’t playing and can be replaced by a player we get in return with better defense and more raw skill, along with making RJ happy sign me up..

It’s a good trade but not the miracle trade everyone is saying.

It will be a while before we probably even see him play.

Haven't been this excited since the Knicks signed Kevin Seraphin.

I feel the same way...something's not right for the Hawks giving up on this kid for practically nothing. I'm not against the trade but it's just weird that they didn't want to extend their former lottery pick for the long run. Or maybe Reddish flat out wasn't going to resign with Atlanta no matter what. But I def didn't jump up for joy like last year when Rose was traded to the Knicks.

It’s zion. The plan has to be zion

When Randle went out we lost a lot on the boards. We are not trading scraps unless we get a rebounder in return. It’s gotta be zion next year. Aka Randle ad fillers and future firsts and seconds

Sucks for Obi that he’s playing behind the guy who is/was our best player and is a vet.. there’s really no reason Cam won’t play since Thibs apparently is a fan and wanted him here

Plus, I hear he plays defense. 7'1" wingospan.

It shows that Leon was able to make a trade and not get dunked on.

Now watch Knox start filling it up in Atlanta.

That wouldn't bother me. I kinda hope he does.

Leon didn’t think through the Obi pick. He had already committed to Thibs who does not run a SSOL offense.

I expect Obi to be moved now unless there is a surprise deal with Randle (which I don’t expect)

Thibs wants shooters, not lane fillers

It'd be interesting to know what they had in mind for that draft going in. I don't think Obi was expected to last to #8, or, maybe the guy they wanted was taken at 6 or 7.

I still like Obi, though he's not a great fit here.

Randle needs the ball to be effective
Fournier needs the ball some, to be effective
Kemba needs the ball to be effective
Rose, same
RJ, see above
Burks kind of plays that way
Now here's Cam

What could go wrong?

Randle - As a PF its just modern basketball and takes pressue off the wings and pointguard if executed properly. The PF can be a #1a ballhandler in the new 3 point chuck league, drive and kick etc and pulls the defending big out. Here its just the cost of business.

Fournier- Granted he needs the ball some, A bit of a point forward without play making skills. but he needs it to at least stay in rhythm and get some drives,

Kemba- probably on the outs roster wise with the emergence of Rj flourishing being more on the ball.

Rose- Backup pointguard .

Burks- is a defacto point guard but miserable results he is back OFF the ball while RJ is the main perimeter option.

Cam- Envision him playing SG where secondary ballhandling comes with the job. backup sf minutes where we accommodate point forward play. The hawks were stacked with wings who werent not necesarilly better. You see them losing and starting huerter, bogs, and hunter and cam averages 18.4 as a starter. If he plays defense all the more better. He can defend maybe 3 positions? If he can defend pointguards, then watch out.

Knox lacks the testicular fortitude to play at a high level.

I read the first 30+ pages but pages keep coming damn can't keep up.

Very excited about this trade, I think Cam got All Star potential. When you shoot effortlessly it takes confidence and swag.

There's a reason he was highly rated out of high school, but he got lost in Zion's highlights and RJ's star hierarchy in Duke's shuffles, but I think he just remembered how good he is if he just blocks out all the noise.

Can't believe some here mad Cam would take away Grimes' playing time. The chances of Cam becoming a PG13 is 100000x more likely than Grimes becoming a Klay. Give the guy with real all Star potential all the minutes.

Oh and we got him for Knox... holy ****... all these years I don't remember ever hating a player, but if there's one it's Knox. He just shoots 3s, I mean not even 3 pt specialists like Redick, Korver just shoot 3s, they make layups now and then, like dude you can't even try to drive in?
