nico got hustled. I think his strong desire for AD also confirms this report. he was willing to take less cause he really wanted ad.

mavs fans have to be sick sick today.
it's not even close but as knicks fans the closest comparison is the IT years. when we were locking up terrible players and trading away picks. we knew we were cooked for a long time. but it's not like we traded away a franchise player to doom us. we just had no hope. to have hope taken away - must suck for them.

Ainge never going to be able to live this one down. If he knew before, he would have asked for 5 first round picks and 3 swaps.

They left out multiple picks and swaps for some reason. If the Mavs get moved to Vegas then we'll know why...

It should have been Jaren Jackson, Jaylen Wells, Marcus Smart and 3 firsts plus 3 swaps.

Or

Bam, Jacquez 4 firsts and 3 swaps.

I would have called Sean Marks and asked for everything in their coffers. What do they have, 9 firsts? Plus their own this year when they suck?

It makes no sense. This trade is an embarrassment.

Should have traded him to the Spurs for 6/7 frp and salary filler. At least we could have watched Luka-Wemby, which might have been something of greatness instead of LeBron-Luka which will be boring af even if "successful".

It is obvious that the league wants to recapture the same interest that they had in the Kobe Bryant/Tim Duncan era. They know that they gain absolutely nothing when the Knicks are contending.

But it doesn't make any sense from a financial standpoint. He was their main source of revenue.

Yeah, that sounds familiar

IIRC it was cause they were both from the Dominican Republic, which like, there are worse reasons to stan a dude.

Is he worse than Shamet? Either way I'd take Torrey on the cheap.

The reasoning was sound. It was the threats of violence that were over the top.

Right. Spurs also have some decent prospects too.

I don't wanna denigrate AD but goddamn that is a bag of slop for a top 3 player.

Which is crazy because he had a decent rookie year too. You'd think he could have become a decent rotation player.
