I think so too. Evidence: Because they got the Nets thing done early so they will have time before next Thursday in case Melo says nyet to the Nyets. I just recently thought they might really hold on to him but the way they're rushing for some resolution on the Nets deal makes me think that they want to be sure they have time to trade him somewhere else if Melo rejects NJ.

and they'll get nothing for melo too.

this is a terrible gamble by denver imo. if melo rejects, it's too late in the game to get anymore value from the knicks. the knicks will stand firm and offer nothing. Gallo will likely be off the table.... moz, fields, felton, all off the table. then denver goes from getting gallo + chanlder + pick (bare minimum) to nothing basically.

HELLO...some of us have been sayin this for awhile now. This is Nigerian Roulette.
Put a loaded gun to your own head, say and do the Riskiest things possible, and pull the trigger... see if you have anything left in the morning.....

Have faith brother.... Melo will be a Knick....
Let's just hope that Dolan doesn't give up too much.... I'm pretty sure Gallo and Chandler are goners...

So stupid. Why would MElo change his mind now about NJ after holding out for so many months? He knows he can get the Knicks if he waits another week.
BAF Pacers

F. Campazzo/ J. Clarkson/ K. Lewis Jr
D. Mitchell/ J. Richardson/S. Merrill
Luka/Melo
Zion/Gay/Gabriel
KAT/Kabengele

Told him basically that all he has to do is say "NO" to NJ and he's home free and that Denver is not going to keep him past the deadline.

Also told him that Love (which he appears to be big on) is about faith and convinction and standing firm, instead of bending and wavering from fear of the unknown.

Smooth...Very well played sir.

Really, the whole money deal that NJ and Den are trying to scare Melo with is so faulty its like;

I'm tweeting Dolan to tell him that moocow has it covered and moo is the reason that Melo will come to NYK.... well played sir.

We all want Melo for the most part. It's not ballboys who are saying it will suck if we lose out on him, because most of us agree it would. But after every report about the Nets and Nuggets, they are crying that the sky is falling.

Can we have a playpen thread for new posters that they can then graduate from when they are no longer ballboys?

It would be like keeping a litter of puppies in a big cage until they are properly trained.

All these tweets/articles just sound like spinning wheels to me.

Nothing will happen until next week, and we probably won't even know the details of what's going on RIGHT NOW until after the deal is done.

You know what, I've been wrong this whole time. If we don't get Melo Amare will crumble into a million pieces like the glass that he is during the all-star game. Then a meteor will crash into MSG, totally demolishing the building. Stern will obviously have to take action, he will contract the Knicks because they don't have a building to play in or a star player anymore. You're right. Let's trade Gallo, Chandler, Fields, Mozgov, Felton, Rautins, Randolph, Turiaf, Walker and every first rounder the Knicks can get their hands on from now until 2030 for Melo, Al Harrington, Birdman, Balkman and Billups. For **** and giggles let's also trade Douglas to Minny, because you can never have too manu PGs, for cash considerations. Then we can pay Ujiri under the table with that cash to thank him for sending us Melo. -Jitpal

Melo about to tell Dolan...

"Don't worry my man...give me until Monday after the ASG and i'll shoot down NJ, Oh and btw tell Walsh i'd like number 11, see you guys soon!"

Melo won't meet with the Knicks -- Seriously can someone tell me why Denver would permit Carmelo Anthony to talk to the Knicks?

I've yet to hear a good explanation.

A playoff team with 4 key players under 25 years old and cap flexibility going forward. Now if that's not a reason to kill yourself out of desperation then what is...
