What Josh Harrellson Brings To the Knicks [Heat Related]

There always seems to be that second round guy who blossoms at the right time, who's game suits the pro game more than college, who just slipped through the cracks of scouting and makes contributions in their first year or two.

Why can't this guy be that guy? I guess the Knicks stuck gold in that respect last season with Fields and it's a long shot to say they could have hit jackpot again with Jorts. We'll see. If the guy can come in and give 10-15 mins this season of back up and spot starter match ups to alleviate Amare of wear and tear he will be a very good second round pick.

I have no expectations that he can do that, I also won't have any doubts it could happen. I'll just wait and see like everyone else here.

The same the with Jordan. If he can come in and give 10-15 mins of back up and spot starter match ups it would have been a good deal to get him last year's draft. I don't see him as having star quality, neither do I in Jorts.

The Knicks don't need a star at center, they need solid role players.

I like having Jordan and Harrellson both competing against each other. I think Amare will be a good influence on both of them. Jordan and Harrelson both bring elements that we despertley need, it's the fundamentals and improving on certain areas/flaws that will tell how they succeed, or not. I think both could help us, and both could become fixtures here. They have the tools to do it, but I think it will also help that they are both competing against each other, I think that will drive them to be better.

I hope that one of them can help us vs Miami, Chicago, Boston. It would be amazing if they both contribute, but I will be happy with either one helping us.

I will continue to say this: I loved the Shumpert pick when we made it and I loved the Harrellson pickup (I still wanted to buy Tyler's rights though...).

Side note - Knicks players are the biggest celebrities to go to Liberty games my dad also had season tickets for the Liberty for my sisters...

I think they could both help. We don't need them to do a lot. Joel Anthony is a good player on the Heat because he just does what he is needed to do. Jordan and Harrellson have the ability to defentally do more than a Joel Anthony. They both have the ability to rebound, defend, and Harrellson can pick and pop. Jordan is more athletic than Harrellson, so they will both bring a different value. They both seem like guys (from everything I have read) that are motivated to be very good, I think it's important to have the right amount of motivation.
