I'm going to add, it is very, VERY rare for an Eastern division 8th seed to finish much better than .500.

I know this is an odd, off season, but remember, all the team that are now bunching up with one another after Orlando are going to play each other.

Someone is going to get cold.

Knicks finish strong (and if they don't, what's the point?) they will make the PS.

So I'd just as soon as see their chances of winning their division enhanced.

thats not ridiculous that means we probably finished the year maybe at our final 8 games aren't that touhgt say ur go 6-2 in that stretch and finish the year at 13-6 stretch that is bad???????

It's not that good. But if we do go 13-6 we probably finish ahead of both Boston and Milwaukee.

I see people talking about our schedule. Smh...if we can't beat good teams, why bother showing up in the playoffs?

Heres are next 11 games would this be a fair assessment:

@Toronto
Detroit
Milwaukee
Orlando
@Atlanta
Cleveland
@Indiana
@Orlando
Chicago
@Chicago
@Milwaukee

I could see 7-4 i could see 6-5....is very possible which isn't terrible over that stretch...the bucks can easily go 7-4 over there stretch they play much easier opp....say boston play 500 ball

guess who is the 9th seed with 8 games remaining...us with no tie breaker vs the bucks or celtics

all im saying is for ur wishes u want 4 teams jumbled with 10 games to go maybe 1 or 2 games from 4th but also 1 or 2 games from 9th (out of the playoffs)

I want a 3 game lead from the 9th and a 2-3 game from the 4th because i think we can make up 2-3 games over the last 10 based off phili schedule

9-2 for us (best case 10-1, worst 8-3)

What kind of case would it be if we go 11-0 or 0-11?

:) Imaginary case! :P... i think it wont happen a 11-0 run... and niether gonna loose more than 3 games out of next 11... Not with this momentum...

Not imaginary for me! I fully expect them to win 24 in a row :rockon:

I wish that your imagination becomes a reality. I'd be great... something unseen before (with that start we had this season)!

Can't secure a berth in March, or do you get any bonus points for staying in the 8th position.

Gotta have a macro view - what the FINAL standings will be.

Assume the Knicks will finish strong, root for the best chance to win the 4th seed.

Exactly. I can't understand the reasoning of some. The Bucks are already behind us and play us two more times. If you look at the bigger picture, it'd be better if the Celtics lost so it narrows their lead over us in the standings. I don't expect a veteran team like Boston to lose many games down the stretch no matter who they play so every loss will be critical.

THEY AREN'T BEHIND US!!! 24 LOSSES 24 LOSSES

we are tied with them having the tie breaker technically they are in front of us!

23-24 > 21-24

You don't get credit for a win for games you haven't played yet. And we play them two more times so that tiebreaker isn't set in stone.

correct but they also don't get credit for a loss so u can look at it either way and since they have a cake schedule who knows...no point in beating this to death.

as a knick fan i hope both team exhaust a lot of energy and at the end of the day either team losing is still good for the knicks...i just prefer the bucks to lose

I'm not beating anything to death. If you're tired of discussing it, you're free to stop :)

I didn't say they get credit for a loss. 23-24, statistically, is > 21-24

Nobody's crediting anyone with anything. More wins is more wins. Same amount of losses, more wins. Just looking at it as it is. It's about not getting credit for games you haven't played.

oh lord...

why do u think in sports people look at loss columns more than win columns because that is the more important stat line

That's only if we had a different number of losses. It's the same! I don't know how to make what I'm trying to say any clearer.

I don't think you do understand lol.

It'll probably be easier for you to understand at season's end. So let's bring this back up then. :P

Celtics need to lose tonight so they are even more motivated to beat Philly tomorrow night.
