With the 69th overall pick the Indiana Pacers Select Goran Dragic

.Couldnt pick Nash so I will pick the person who learned under him. Dragic has shown made huge strides this past year showing he is a starting pg in the nba. Great at running an offence. Will be perfect for the team and forms a core for the pacers.

Re: Build-a-Team 7.0 Draft Picks/Trades Thread
With the 71st overall pick, the Detroit Pistons select
David West
There's no question that West has brought a physicality and edge (reminiscent of the old great Pacers teams) to the Pacers that they lacked last season. He's considered their backbone and their leader on and off the court and his intensity is carrying over on both ends of the floor and intimidating the one team (the Heat) who usually use intimidation to their own advantage.
West is a very physical player. He's a very intense (almost angry) player on the court. He rebounds, he defends and he attacks. He also can score both in the post as well as on the perimeter. Unlike someone like Stoudemire, Wests psyche doesn't waver if he doesn't get touches and he's shown great willingness to give his body up, check his ego at the door and lay it all out on the line to win...especially in the playoffs.
Having both West and Duncan provides us with tough, experienced, intelligent and physical front court tandem to surround Carmelo Anthony with. Both also operate much better around the basket and have less of a need to clog the paint on the offensive compared to what Anthony has faced with the Knicks this past season.
NOTE: West is a 2 time all-star and despite having a statistically inferior regular season in his first year with the Pacers has been widely credited by coach and teammates as the backbone of the team. And when they need him most West is showing that he can also produce like he did during his all-star years (just 2 seasons ago) without the need of a PG like Paul going 16/10 so far in the playoffs with nothing but George Hill as the starting PG by sheer determination, toughness and his own talent and really being the driving factor that's pushing his teammates to never give up and to fight toe-to-toe with the Heat.

In this picture below...West is screaming at his teammate Roy Hibbert to suck it up and get up!!! Gotta Love it!!!

DEFENSE...

SHOOTING...

LEADERSHIP...
**********************************************************************************************************************************************************
Arron Afflalo

One of the best all-around, efficient shooting guards in the league. Shutdown perimeter defender equally adept at man-to-man or help defense. An excellent 3pt shooter with efficient percentages across the board (48% FG, 40% 3PT, 80% FT). A great team-player who is a ball-mover offensively yet never afaid to take the big shot if given daylight. The consummate professional who provides intangibles, is great in the locker room and is a leader on the court.
