It all depends on the seriousness of the relationship. If it's serious and you think you could have a future with her, it's pretty messed up to leave cause she got big. It's shallow. I can imagine how some of the cats here would be whining and calling their GFs all sorts of names if they left them for the same reason. I don't think we have many Mr. Olympias on here, either.

If you really wanna get her to lose weight, have a competition with her. Whoever can more drastically improve their physique within a certain period of time gets to do whatever they want sexually with the other for the day, that should work well. At least, it did for me, and we were both already in good shape,

You are making the assumption that the things that attract males and females is the same. It is not. We as males are attracted to the physical appearance of a woman. Woman are too but they also look for other things like wealth and status of a man. Why you see a bunch of models with fat rich dudes.

The OP has already said that he hits the gym religiously and makes the effort to eat right. He's obviously not expecting her to look like a fitness model; he was content with her when she was "thick." There's just been a huge divergence in their lifestyles - she changed - and it's negatively affected the relationship greatly. People who are into fitness and health are attracted to those that are also into that, too. She's GAINED 40 POUNDS, not because of a medical condition or a pregnancy, but just because, lol...and it honestly doesn't sound like she gives a crap and has gotten comfortable with it. Usually, these sort of people need a MOMENT to make themselves realize that their body/health is messed up and it spurs them to change...this breakup could be that moment.

The greatest fat chick movie scenes of all time are in two movies called Love & Anarchy and Seven Beauties starring Giancarlo Gianinni and directed by Lina Wertmuller.

She also directed the great movie Swept Away, also starring Giancarlo. Madonna made some awful remake of it that I refused to see, but the original is a classic.

Dude men are shallow. People are shallow. Women are just shallow about your bank account and your social prestige.

It's probably evolutionary dude. Any dude with a dick is going to be able to donate sperm but a woman bearing children is the most complicated thing a body does. Until about 75 years ago it was more common to lose a baby to miscarriage, stillbirth, childbirth and during infancy than to have one actually grow up. That's why men are like detectives looking at a woman's physical appearance.

Things like having good complexion gives hints about general health. Big breasts and hips show suitability to survive childbirth. Youth is preferred because they are more likely to have healthy babies and less likely to have other children to split attention with. Skinnier is also an indication of healthiness, fat being associated with a variety of diseases and less general physical fitness. Men are obsessed with looks because evolutionarily they're trying to identify the ones more likely to bear healthy babies.

Women are more concerned with social status and wealth, because those things are what the woman during pregnancy and afterwards need to raise their children and give them advantages in society. Because while male primates could survive solo females always cohabitateed with other females in the tribe. That **** matters to women. Women also look at physical things but they dont look as closely at things like facial symmetry, proportions, etc like men because they don't need to be that picky choosing the perfect one to physically bear the children, they look at things like height and size. But mainly they look at emotional and material things they can get from the men.

Not saying this to say we're slaves to evolution but if you're going to be happy in a relationship you have to be honest with yourself. If you're not going to be happy with a fat chick, just be honest, instead of going through life miserable and probably cheat on her later. Dudes have physical needs, don't be ashamed of that or try some pyscho babble bull to pretend that you're not. If I was unemployed and my girl was like, get a **** job I can't be with someone who's broke, I would understand that. They have needs. Just like we do. It doesn't mean you have to be shallow about it, but definitely let her know how you feel. You can work on that **** together. It's not about being "shallow" and judging it's about being real about human needs.
