What's the percentage chance of us winning this game?

I'm gonna go with 80%.
My lifetime better have a Knicks championship.

Martin turned Terry's comments around after the game.

We’re ending it Wednesday,” Martin said, telling his teammates to, “Wear black. Funeral colors.’’

I LOVE that quote.

The Knicks shouldn't even have given the Celtics geezers a chance at getting a single win this series.

I just hope Woodson has time to design some offensive plays other than Carmelo & JR isolation plays from now to Wednesday. No more than 35-40% of the plays should be isos. The ball should be in one of NY's PGs hands the rest of time. Their 3-headed PG is one of their strengths. Last game it seemed like a good 80-90% of the plays were Melo isos... and he was ICE cold all game.

Why do people think we're going to make wholesale changes to our playbook now?

Especially when that same playbook has us up 3-1?

Giving the ball to the PGs instead of Melo every play doesn't classify as wholesale changes. They have plays they choose to only use it like 10% of the time.

They've done it at points in the season and the offensive always looks much better when it happens (except with Felton tries to play "hero-ball" or when Kidd has to play major minutes at PG).

Spoiler:
Also, why not incorporate changes now? The way they are playing can work against the Celtics (no PG & weak offense) and maybe the Pacers (due to George's & Hibbert's disappearing acts on the road), but it certainly won't work against the Heat, the Bulls, or any team coming out of the West. The Knicks are going to have to go through Miami or Chicago to get to the NBA Finals. If they aren't playing to win it all, why are they playing? The Knicks are going to have to adapt to playoff basketball or they'll get booted out. They averaged 100 PPG during the regular season and less than 90 in the post season, and the Pacers, Heat, & Bulls all probably have better defenses than the Celtics. Iso ball is too predictable and too dependent on efficiency for the iso players.

Isolation players like Anthony & Smith are great to have, especially if you surround them by shooters, but it can't be the primary offense. In the regular season? Yes. In the post season? No. Not when defense can be designed to slow down selfish players. Maybe if Stoudemire comes back and is phenomenally dominant, then maybe the Amar'e/Melo/JR iso offense will be too much to handle. I doubt it. They'll need their PGs to make the decisions on the court and Anthony, Smith, & Stoudemire should play off them. Anthony needs to play more he does on team USA. That's the only way I see NY having a deep playoff run.

How about we give the celtics D some credit. They are playing great defense and are playing the passing lanes pretty well when Melo gets doubled. Maybe we need to incorporate some cuts.

That would be absolutely awesome if they did that.

all we need to do is have jr show up and not have melo repeat the worse playoff game of his career. there's no other adjustment needed.

Well, making no adjustments will work against the Celtics and maybe the Pacers. This is true.

That was an egregious travel by Garnett and no call by the referees. The officiating was pretty terrible last game. It seemed like they wanted to call every possible violation, yet they let that slide at a critical part of the game. The refs got paid off that game. Probably by Dolan to get another game at MSG.

If OKC eliminates Houston, then the Knicks-Celtics game tips off at 7 pm… If the Rockets win tonight, then NY-Boston Game 5 starts at 8:30

I'd rather have an earlier game as well.

Sorry Houston.
