this is exactly what billy king wanted after the kg & pierce deal went down.. for grunnie to start scrambling under the pressure of dolan's thumb and make a ridiculous deal like this..

Thats true except for the fact that anytime you trade for Bargnani with a first round pick that move is a bad move, unless you are moving an Amare like contract.

I would say the deal would be a great move without the picks. Novak/Camby for Bargs. They save a lot of money, we get the best player in the deal. Giving up picks also...I hope there is more to it.

How would Toronto benefit from the deal if it's just Bargnani for Camby and Novak straight up? Serious question, btw.

A lot of Raptors fans have felt frustration at Bargnani, since he hasn't lived up to his potential. I think he can reach his potential on the Knicks, especially without a GM (Colangelo) who will coddle him like puppy.
