Phil ran them guys out of msg. Ain't no love. They are leaving.

non-sense. LBJ can buy into a vision of playing in an actual system, and the 2015 plan, that would still be in full effect. with full input privileges...

Lebron is not coming to the knicks without another star or two in place for any reason at any point in his career

i know hes not coming..

but he could have his pick of the 2015 class on a team with the capspace...and that is something. i understand the common fan cant see past the current off-season, but pros look ahead. maybe he wants to play with Aldridge or Love on a team that can get him, and a system in place.... he could have his pick of the liter...

True. Makes sense but we would not be sending a big, long term contract back. Its either Booz and some picks/Mirotic, or some other filler contract with the offer. Nice avatar btw. Young bearded Phil is sexy! Crazy shoulders

You've missed the point. Sending him out West is always better than keeping him in conference.

And about my avy...

Honestly, the moment I found out he married La La, I had a feeling Melo was a suspect dude...lack of intelligence and class, selfish, prima donna.

What Chicago lawyer?

Some reputable Chicago source saying that Melo and his agents will be in Chicago tomorrow meeting at a law firm.

Disbelieve this kind of chatter every time and you'll be right 98% of the time.

I'd rather not include mirotic. knicks can take the picks or lose him for nothing.

I can only imagine what a superstars law team gets paid. They'd probably miss every calender holiday if they needed to for their rich clients

Sorry bro but losing every year in the first round (once to the clippers) except once while in Denver is like not making the playoffs to me but then again I got the privilege to see the 90s Knicks and more, so forgive me if Melos first round exits don't impress me and especially when it will cost a 129 mill to keep those accomplishments on this team

And how many championships did those 90s teams win?

If it wasn't for Riley keeping Starks while he.couldn't make a shot atleast one, but to answer you're question.we didn't win any but damn those team's had heart and were a pleasure to watch and if it wasn't for Jordan and his Bull's we would of been in the finals more then the 2 time we got there

I want him back but like Phil said, if he comes back we're fortunate. If he doesn't come back we're fortunate...We are headed in the right direction regardless.

To be fair, most of us have respected Melo's right to explore free agency. If he wants to sign with the Lakers or Bulls, go ahead. It's all this extraneous, deceitful BS I can't stand.

You guys can offer him more money and to play in New York. I can't see him turning that down.

I still think it was Anthony just wanting to go through the process.

FWIW, two different posters reported hearing this rumor from two different law firms. Both said Melo's lawyers will be in Chicago tomorrow.

I always thought a reset made more sense than trying to build around Melo in a hurry. Phil is the zen master but as a new GM thats a tall order.

AS for the conf. rival thing, sure thats an issue, but if you are rebuilding anyway I dont think there is such a conflict. The Bulls windows is 3-4 seasons max with Melo and our core. Not sure its worth not getting assets back when the overlap in contention is not really an issue, but we shall see what happens here.

In conf. deals is not unprecedented. OKC moved Harden to HOU after all. Gasol moved from MEM to LA. It happens.
