There's something that people are missing.. Cassidy mentioned Meek directly.. Drake didn't mention him and Flex directly.. Drake snitched on himself man and I don't understand why ppl are missing that..

I don't get how Drake snitched on himself. Please enlighten me. Although I don't think it's as cut and dry as Illmatic is making it seem. Mainstream heads don't know who Cassidy is and honestly probably never heard of that beef so Meek doesn't lose record sales losing to Cassidy. There was only upside with that beef, if Meek beats a legit battler like Cassidy in a beef war it only raises his credibility with hardcore hip-hop listeners, if he loses (which he did by far) he still had Ross and MMG backing him so he was going to sell regardless. If he loses or honestly even makes it debatable on who won with Drake the whole world is going to know. It could ruin his career way more than Cassidy ever could. There's some serious risk here for Meek, more than simply Rapper A is better than Rapper B.

With all that said, Meek has to release something now and I don't think he's afraid to but, being backed in a corner like he (mainly Flex) put himself into is never a good look in a beef like this. You end up rushing things out of desperation and pressure. Drake now has total control of this beef and all he did was put out some average subliminals. Like I've said before Meek is not smart, Drake is.

Safaree just released the most garbage water diss track ever. How is Meek Millz (yes I'm adding the z back he doesn't deserve the z-less name right now) still finding a way to take an L in all of this?

i've still never heard that cat spit. I take this wouldn't be a good introductory track into his body of work?

I'm 90% sure it's about Meek thinking he has writers (which is why he'd be flattered).

Nah he's saying people are snitching on him without asking him about it or knowing anything about the situation. You really think Drake would make the first line of his diss track about Meek Mill an admission that he was right? Especially since Meek and Flex's evidence is weak at best.

I still don't see why Drake having a ghostwriter is some big deal...I bet that many rappers do. It's not like Drake doesn't come up with anything original.

I think Drake has a lot of writers with him and behind him like many other rappers do. Why not mention the rapper that posted a contract where he wrote for Meek? Rappers having others helping them is sooooooo common in the game like honestly all rappers have at least spit a bar they haven't wrote before. I don't think Game has written a verse in years. It's not like dudes are out here hyping Drake's lyrical ability so why would I care if he rips lines from other dudes when it doesn't change the song being good.

Now if we found out someone ghost wrote large parts of Mural for Lupe it'll be different since no one is listening to that to not hear raps. Plus it was well known Drake has the whole OVO team with him. Majic wrote Hold on We're Going Home, PND wrote Preach, and Drake openly has a few poets he prods for ideas and lines on the OVO team.

Because you cannot say you are the best when you have ghostwriters.. for the same reason I will never put Kanye on the greatest list.. Cons, Pusha and others wrote for him.

I can respect that but Ye is in my top 5 and Dre in my top 25. It's not like I like them for their lyrics I like them for their songs as a whole. Outside of a few songs (like Gorgeous) I'm not rewinding Kanye songs to hear a line again.

No I don't believe he had verses written for him because nobody has any evidence that he has had that done for him. He may have had some hooks written which doesn't bother me in the least and a line here or there may be altered but, again I don't find that to be that egregious either no matter who did it be it Nas, Jay, KRS, etc.

Nikelaus F (in a Complex interview) mentioned that he wrote verses and hooks for him and he's no random guy.
