Pretty sure if things continue as they've been going it won't be 'tanking' it will just be 'losing badly'.

NY might be able to, but James Dolan won't. So chances are...

I don't know with Dolan he sees
The money maker we got to draft in Pozingas and I think he might be down for another tank to land another young money maker to put next to Pozingas.

It'd be awesome if Dolan allowed the fans to direct franchise decisions via RealGM polls :o

Can it be any worse than the past 15 years?

Looks like a good 2/3's of the board is in favor of the tank next season. I only hope Phil is too.

Looking at how the other teams in the East developed last season (and how they would be improving the next) shows how far back we are. Don't see us hitting the jackpot in FA. The tank is something that we should embrace.

What sucks here is that we would be wasting Melo's time. As much as I like Melo however, he deserves this. If he had waited one more season and did not bait Dolan into a bidding war with the Nets, we would have given him a much better team sooner rather than later.

I would vote tank, if we didn't have KP.

I'd tank before going after rondo though. I'd do lots of things before going after rondo.

of course. what i see is some say but those players traded all came down with injuries. but they didnt all fall down at the same time and some of them would have remained valuable trading chips. they were all resources of one kind or another and should have been used to keep building the team not to throw them away in a trade that didnt have to happen.

if melo wanted to be a knick he could have come for a few dollars less soon after. it is his curse to bear. sick of hearing apologies for this. his bed. he made it because he forced a mid-season trade. nobody made him do that. he did it. he played hardball with the nuggets and ujiri stripped us clean. thats melos karma. no sympathies needed

Unless they sit melo and kp all year don't see how they can tank. Those two by themselves guarantee a competitive team, another decent enough player and it is a low end playoff team. I don't think this is a realistic convo. Tanking was only viable without Melo.

Phil will try to "compete" the first 2 months and if the cats are still crapping the floor then he procedes with the tank.

One of the biggest myths is that NYC won't tolerate a top down rebuilding situation
