How is the secon Knicks pick 26 from Dallas? What did they do that makes them a top 5 team in the league this offseason? Doncic is great, but he isn’t nearly that great.

They did a nice job of picking up 3&D guys / bench shooters & Luka will be an MVP candidate this season. 26 seems low, but it wouldn't be exactly be shocking if that pick ends up 20 or later.

I still think they fell behind the additions other teams made. They are good, but not Western Conference Good. Not when even the teams that were behind them in the standing all added significant talent this year.

They were trying to add Gallo for a reason. Also they lost depth and are replacing it with Rookies which is also always a recipe for a short term fall off. Long term it was a good move, but I think they are going to struggle.

I certainly agree that they won't be WCF good & it's tough to bank on rookies making too much of an impact this season...though I won't be shocked if Terry is cooking for them off the bench in the playoffs...but I do think that another step from Luka will make a big difference and I really like the Josh Richardson addition for them. So I'm expecting that pick to be around 20, and will be pleasantly surprised if it's higher than that.

He reminds me of Brandon Bass. I'll duck now. Haha.. he's out of the picture add johnson instead.

Can't wait for this draft. And lol @ our Dallas pick being 26. I think it's in the top 15.

No shot that pick is top 15 unfortunately. Realistically in the low to mid 20s.

That's still potentially a heck of a chit. If NY acquires another high/mid 20s pick through transaction two early 20s picks in this draft MIGHT be enough capital to get someone in the 13-18 range to drop back for multiple selections.

Not to even overthink this but given the wide array of talent at the top of the class in this draft depending on your team needs if you get #1, if you could trade back to 4 and get another pick in the early teens, you could go home and crack open your finest bottle of scotch secure in the knowledge of a job well done!

the only notable move they made was trading Curry for Richardson, right? not that big a move compared to the Suns adding CP3, Blazers w/ Covington, Jones

I think the pick will likely end up around the 17-21 range

Oh I agree. I'll be happy to have the pick even in the 20s. I'm just glad to have it. Looks like a strong draft. We also have some 2nd rounders.

Sorry I mixed up Perry and Mobley. Mobley hasn't played much in the U19 games I've been watching.

If you want to see Cade at his best minus a blown layup on a good move watch the first quarter of this game against Latvia. One caveat is the Latvian U19 wasn't that strong.

Giddey doesn't play in this game. He's the youngbuck on a veteran Aussie team but the actual game is bonkers and super competitive.

I just want to stake out the positions early that the lottery gods f*cked the Knicks yet again and that whoever the Knicks pick, they should have picked this other guy.

See you in a year.

Also, that white Australian guy makes Adam Morrison look like Vince Carter, athleticism wise.

I'll reserve a seat at this table too. I'm not even gonna watch any college ball this year. My mind is made up!
