Knicks doing a great job staying patient and not just jumping to signings just because they can. There are still top players out there and pockets are starting to empty. There are lots of guys that are under valued who can fill out the roster a week from now. Only a few top players.

The boy deserve a chance. He never got a real chance to play through his mistakes here but he starts for France and showed out. Damn we sucked at developing him. His defense at the point of attack is crazy and he looks to set up scorers. Should of got the keys after him and Kp led the comeback against Cha. Still got benched for Jack.

Exactly, the goal is to show off the capabilities of our coaching staff to make us relevant. Frank, RJ, and Mitch is going to beast under structure.

100% on board with this still. I would rather watch the kids make mistakes and play bad then watch hired vet bums do the same.

The Knicks have been so bad for so long I can live with another few years as long as we stay patient and build through the draft.

Next year you have Cade Cunningham the year after you have Grififn Jr and Banchero the year after Bates and Webanyama the draft is our only path to those type of players we clearly are not getting franchise players through free agency.

To put a band aid over a bullet wound and overpay for guys who are maybe third or fourth options on a contender to go along with our young guys who are not anywhere close to franchise players and are at best case scenario solid starters is not how you want to go all in on and ruin any flexibility.

Capping out as a lower seeded playoff team does nothing for me.. I’d rather suck and shoot for the moon and fail then suceed at mediocrity.

If you want to take on bad contracts for picks, you can do a lot better than 1 pick for 130 million in cap over 3 years. Minimum to take Wall should be 3 firsts

Unless Billy King has been hired by the Wiz, expecting any team to trade 3 FRPs that aren't highly protected without getting a superstar back is what's lunacy. Whats the Wiz's motivation for trading Wall exactly? They stink. They aren't attracting any big time free agents. So what are they doing with their saved $40M? Trade him for another disgruntled overpaid malcontent where you have to give much less to complete.

Imagine Knicks owed Julius Fumble 3/160. How would you feel if another team came calling Rose to give three unprotected FRPs to take on salary. Knicks probably better off sending orange julius home. And trying again the following year when he only has 2/80 left (and other year of rehab/health)

Only teams that actual trade FRPs to clear bad cap/players are teams in expected top 10. IMO 1 Wiz unprotected in 2023 is much more valuable than three protected Jazz picks, for example.

I've always wanted to play the kids and tank.
My issue is that if this is the direction they take, what they did in the draft made absolutely no sense. They drafted older players and gave away the 33rd. A tanking team would have taken projects (maybe avdija and hampton perhaps) and used that 33rd pick instead of bringing in vets like alec burks. I thought they had a good draft if the context was that they were trying to win. If they're trying to tank I'm scratching my head at what they did

If they wouldn't trade 3 picks to clear him then don't do it

I don't know why you're under the impression we must trade for Wall and take whatever Washington gives us when it's not a good value for us.
