i mean, that's the story of almost every game. the front court is mostly great and our guards are mostly bad. bullock too is mostly bad but he doesn't take 14/15 shots a game like they do.

so what your saying is we needed a smart guard that doesn't take a lot of bad shots and makes a lot of the shots he takes...wasn't there a guy in the draft that did that?

Nothing more harmful than unrealistic expectations.

This is a treadmill team.

Realistically, the only players who qualify as "good NBA players" right now are Mitch and Randle. Maybe Burks if he can sustain his 3P% from the last couple of years.

This roster is poorly constructed, with arguably the worst backcourt in the entire NBA. The team will always suffer from the lack of shooting and the lack of spacing. I blame Leon Rose for this. Just having a point guard who can shoot would make life so much easier for everybody, and he had options in the draft and in free agency to address this endemic issue.

The team is simply not set up to play quality basketball, and I won't stop complaining about it.

I don't want my frontcourt slow dribbling the ball up with blinders on though.

You're addressing someone who ignores the fact Mitch cripples our offense, and can't rebound. Imagine getting out rebounded by a fossil like Horford, who hit J after J in your face like Prince did to Charlie Murphy.

theoretically you'd want someone who can break down the d too. but yeah, haliburton is looking better than i thought.
he's actually kind of just ok for most of the game but he's a 4th quarter monster.

Mitch stops dudes from entering that paint and he makes them miss with his presence.

Issue is from both ends Mitch does nothing else besides rim protection he gets pushed around by legit C under the rim I even saw him stealing rebounds from Randle lol.

Mitch is crippling our offense but Elfrid and RJ given wide open jumpers all game and building a brick house isn't?

there wide open shots...they are missing. That has nothing to do with Mitch. Mitch rolling to the basket is the only thing opposing teams even care about

The guards have to shoot because our PF thinks he's LeBron, and our center cannot do anything on offense. We are the only team in the league with 2 interior bigs

I never said our backcourt was good, our frontcourt provides zero spacing, none whatsoever. Even Walt pointed out how Horford just stopped guarding Mitch, sorry but 8.5ppg in 30mpg? He's goddamn Bismack Biyombo on offense, not Pascal Siakam like you hoped.

having Haliburton would help. I'm no Randle fan, but if it's true that Randle came into the season in great shape, having improved his game (significantly), why go w/ Obi when PG was the biggest need to begin w/? didn't they see this version of Randle during OTA's?

Mitch ain't the problem, it's the roster construction. in today's game w/ a rim-running C, they should be playing 4-out w/ a PG who can shoot. instead they have Elfrid at PG, and a bunch of other below avg. shooters

8.5ppg
29.5mpg

On a per minute basis he's scoring less than Bismack Biyombo, who is putting up 8.5ppg in 27.5mpg. You have got to be kidding me at this point. This has to be a joke now.

Halliburton and Quickley would have been nice.

We need Frank and Burks back because those two can actually shoot the rock from three and Frank can D up guys like Shai.

The fewer mins that go to Payton the better.

We should have closed the game out with:

Mitch, Randle, Knox, Bullock, Rivers to start the fourth. Three shooters around Randle and Mitch to get some stops at the rim.

Return to New York Knicks
