Lonzo has been injury prone since college. I was right, but it was plain to see where his career was trending.

Right, his injury basically ended their entire team experiment instantly

Basically had the OG effect on that team lol

Yeah and ironically the addition of a healthy Ball would make us VERY tough to beat. It's a real shame what happened with him.

But Brunson has been better than I ever imagined.

Ball isn’t a better player at all.

Edit: lol I thought this was a new thread about LaMelo. My bad. Anyway, never liked the balls.

Lonzo was playing really good and had the Bulls looking formidable until he got injured, unsure how he’d be right now if not for the injury. Maybe some team should buy low on him and hope he can come back next year and try to round back to form

Lonzo Ball almost singlehandedly made me look bad when I started taunting Bulls fans for having an Isiah Thomas team. I'd take him when he gets back, probably as a bench guy. We might need those, if we're gonna make future trades. Also, after all the stuff he's been through? He'd definitely be able to handle NYC.

Honestly, Brunson probably shocked a whole lot of people. I voted for him, probably because I'm fueled by some homerism and even more hate for the Bulls, but I can't lie and say that his connection to Leon Rose didn't make me suspicious.

lonzo next to brunson would make us extremely good.

i wasn't that high on brunson until i saw what he did in the playoffs in his last year with dallas. he was going crazy and i became a believer since then.

Same. I always liked him but as a borderline starter.

I saw that. It's ridiculous.

Anyway, Lonzo will be the better player and we need better players.

Lonzo better than Brunson?

Edit: Oh, that was just a bad take from you back then.

In theory it could be an awesome combo but reality is Lonzo injury was so bad there was rumors he’d never play again. He’s been out for two calendar years and the most recent update is that he might be cleared to run this month for the first time so he is still a long way off. hope he can come back next season though sad to see his career derailed like that

Would address our need for a backup floor general. Maybe they’ll flip Fournier for him if they don’t make a trade this year (he has a PO which I assume he’s taking)

I actually think LaMelo would be a pretty good fit next to Brunson. Can shoot the three and pass extremely well. Thibs would have to teach him defense. But of course he is also super injury prone....crazy to think that LaMelo is still only 22 years old. Thought he is 25ish....
