Oubre on a 1 year deal would be SuperCool Beas all over again.

Idk what it says about a player when his ceiling is Mike Beasley but prettier.

Other than prettiness and light skin, not sure where the comp is.

Oubre is a pretty good defender.

Also, I was contemplating a 2 year year of Oubre, not 1, as the ONLY scenario I MIGHT consider Oubre, where he was somewhat cheaper, and even then only AFTER at least an effective PG was signed and probably another player.

He's not a bad player, for the correct team. Since the Knicks feature semi robotic RJ as one of their wings, the Knicks are not one of those teams where Oubre would be a good fit, especially as a starter. Off the bench? Don't see it either. Just get someone else who likes to play defense and make 3's. Like bring back Bullocks or something.

Oubre pretty much had the worst on/off on GSW despite playing almost all his minutes next to Steph Curry.

I don't think PG effectiveness will save him

In fact, Oubre is the only player who yielded a negative net rating when on the floor with Steph, meaning he wiped out Steph's offensive proficiency.

Well they both have a few bats in their belfry, so there's that. I found Beasley to be more likeable out of the two.

There is a lot to consider about Oubre:

1) He got a bad reputation after an awful 3pt shooting slump in the first 2 months of GSW. Besides, he was very criticized because his contract cost GSW more than 50M (counting luxury taxes). He got all the blame for GSW woes but they played all season without a proper Center and weak depth.

2) For The Suns, he averaged 17,9 points (more than RJ) and shot 35% from deep. Since last February, he averaged 17,4 points and shot 36% from deep for GSW (35 games). He is career 51% shooting from 2 points.

3) He has the reputation to be a nice defender (despite his bad +/- what I agree is a little concerning). He is an athletic and strong wing who can defend players like LeBron and Kawhi (or trying to). I think we need a player strong than Bullock to play SF. Even Hunter gave us trouble in the playoffs.

4) I don't think there are a lot of wing options in the market. Especially UFA. There are some RFA players but none are experienced, durable big defenders. Robinson and DeRozan (not very athletic and not known as a defender), Hart (not very big), THT (inexperienced). We also have Otto but he is always injured.

5) Rumors say that Miami and Spurs want him. The best teams regarding evaluating talent.

5) I think Oubre is in a low right now. He is asking for 20M/y. But I think he can sign for 15M or a little more. It is a nice opportunity although risky.
