Re: Woj Kemba buying out of okc signing with NYC
Knicks have four (count'em) point guards on the roster, two former all-stars, and two with something to prove (and I'm not including Quickley in this equation). I have to think that we can squeeze 48 minutes a night out of these four guards (especially given the way that Randle likes to handle the ball).

Assuming that it’s one of many moves they were considering, considering the news about Kendrick Nunn. I’m really glad we didn’t need to pivot to Shroeder. Reggie Jackson would have been acceptable to me. I think he’s matured a lot playing on the Clippers and bouncing around the league.

Yet he still averaged about 20 ppg while sharing offensive duties with Tatum and Brown. There’s no way to negatively spin this move for how much we’re paying him
The problem is he keeps getting hurt. In the playoffs he looked like 2014 Raymond felton. If he not healthy this is gonna be bad
Kemba might be our best pg since Felton. Best PG rotation if they stay healthy if not, no risk. Would be nice to get one more.

Wow, I’m blown away by this - no idea how his health is, but $8mm for Kemba is a great deal if he can go. We basically took on the Celtics’ starting backcourt from last year for free!

Some guy reported it since June apparently. If legit, it was in the works for a while
Feels like something that has been in the works. Maybe okc was trying one last time to trade him before doing this officially

Given the price, it's probably our best option. Health is a risk, but def worth it for a low cost

Deuce and IQ must play some minutes to ensure Kemba and Rose still healthy by playoffs because Thibs looking at those knees right now and saying "they're all mineeeee".

I think it’s awful how we traded all those assets for him and paid him such a huge contract! Typical Knicks!!!!!
I don't care either way. Anything is better than Payton, but people are shooting their loads like we're getting anything resembling Kemba Walkers prime.
He has chronic arthritis. Not a sore knee. He doesn't "keep getting hurt", he has no cartilage in his left knee.
Deluded sheep in here losing their minds and people from other boards are just laughing at our clowning over a guys swan song for a couple years at home. This is MSG ticket revenue material and nothing more. I feel bad for Kemba because he's a great teammate and a competitor but his knee just betrayed him, 4 surgeries on his left knee years of steroidal injections and now he's been trying stem cells to eek out another couple years.
If he could play he wouldn't be a Knick right now, he'd be on the 76ers or some competitive team. Nice story that he gets to play a few games at home, can't wait for the coming home redux.

Bet Cleveland thought they could hold out for more in a Sexton deal. Should've taken what was offered. Now we have a stop gap in Kemba.

Exactly, what were our options at this point?
Dennis Schroeder still searching for his 80+ million contract and Reggie Jackson? I'll take that 8 million dollar risk for a hometown kid that might drop 18 and 6

Vildoza and McBride won't get any minutes, except in case of emergency
Even if Rose or Kemba gets injured, we're just gonna shorten the rotation and make Burks the backup PG.

Totally came out of left field but finally a legit low risk high reward move. I was worried about rose starting after the $ they gave him so this is perfect. We're now deep enough where kemba's usage doesn't have to be crazy high either. Love it.

I mean... Rose played pretty well last year with those shot knees right? As long as Kemba plays 20-25 min I don't see why he can't be productive, I mean he's replacing Elfrid for godsakes it won't take much to out produce that bum
Wasn't Kemba playing well towards the end of the season? I thought he went for like 40 against the Heat or am dreaming
