Right here. Sixers laugh HYSTERICALLY, and so would all other GMs across the league. This poll and thread is just another example of Knicks fans overrating our young players. You just can't help yourselves, can you.

Are you projecting?

It’s still true. This thread is absolutely pathetic and embarrassing. It should be locked.

Agreed. It should be locked. Some of our fans are making the rest of us look like fools.

He’s also the averaging an absurd 1.38 PPP in isolation scoring which is the 4th highest mark in the entire league and he takes more isolation shots a game than Maxey even though he plays half the minutes. https://www.nba.com/stats/players/isolation/?sort=PPP&dir=1&SeasonType=Regular%20Season

He’s a better scorer, defender and equal as a playmaker. The more you look at the numbers the more it seems that Quickley should be starting for this team.

Indeed I agree.

Seen a thread a couple of days ago about 25 under 25, wanted to post then but I think this thread is related to the same thought.. Both IQ and Obi would look real good playing on a team where the main guy was actually “a main guy” and would be on that list.. RJ just has to make free throws. Unfortunately our young guys press because opportunities even when earned don’t come with a long leash

Knicks young players suck again, since everything is a binary equation on here

Here comes the no perspective crew running to act like Maxey and Quick are so far apart simply bc Maxey is on a way better team playing with the most dominating big man in the league... My point is nobody has any idea what Quick can develop into if given the starting opportunity next season.

Or how about if IQ was as good as Maxey Randle would look like Embiid.

Check. Mate.

No perspective is just not seeing the glaring difference in speed, explosion and finishing ability because 1 guy is a Knick and the other isn't. Anyone with eyes can see that Maxey just gets by people easier, Embiid has nothing to do with Maxey being in the 86th percentile for transition, IQ is in the 41st. One guy has elite speed & quickness and the other doesn't, that has nothing to do with playing on the better team or who he plays with, neither does the finishing ability. Maxey's last 10 games without Embiid he's averaged 24ppg, 5rpg, 3apg on 52% from the field. Why is it so difficult to just face the reality that Maxey is the better player?

I never said Maxey wasn't the better player we can agree on that. But I think u saw a lot from IQ towards the end of season to change the perception that he's just a shooter. Maybe he can actually be a point guard. He has to improve his shot selection but he's a talented young kid.

There's no denying philly even w.o Embiid is a better situation than here for a young player to grow. But at least we got to see our kids for a handful of games in an actual ball movement offense w.o Randle.

Also let's give quick some credit he's learning an entirely new position while Maxey just gets to score

Who was arguing that Maxey wasn't more athletic? But so what? Luka Doncic isn't athletic and neither is Jokic. IQ can put up gaudy stats too given the minutes ..even without playing with 2 MVP candidates on a loaded team.
