Knicks have two hidden gems, and one was released to the public today. Miles McBride is next.

Thibs had Grimes stand in the corner the rest of the game after he hit his 7th three.

I get the defense tightened up on him
I get he was there to spread the floor.
I don't get why they could set a few screens or run a play for him to get some more jumpshots up.
He wound up forcing like 3 shots after he made 25.
Thibs kind of a clown.

It can't be their regime though. They were brought in to bring on named players.

If the refresh is about developing and drafting young players. Thibs and Leon and crew aren't it.

The high usage vets on this team need more developing than some of the young players. It would be easier on Thibs too if we got rid of them.

There entire off-season was to make it easier on randle and give him more options.

Kemba
Fournier
randle
Noel

That's over 50mm of horrible contracts

Rose and Burks the only 2 that were decent signings.

It was a complete **** show of an off-season. And we blocked out young guys by doing it too.

If they are wise they will blow it up. I have no issue with them admitting to a mistake and trying to fix it sooner rather than later. We will see what they do

After a game like this, If I'm a reporter the first question I'd ask Thibs is why he put in Miles for one minute at the end. I seriously would love to hear the rationale.

nah... it's called contract year.

Actually MIP Curse, Siakam Ingram Randle all regressed

Even before Jerami Grant's good year last year, he has regressed as well.

Does Grimes have Klay potential?

It looks like it

I think more like Klay because of his form. I think Murray has to work harder to generate his looks. Grimes and Klay just find two inches to plant their feet and shoot like butter. Grimes just strikes me as a guy with economy of motion and potential upper echelon shooting efficiency

slow down. he's not klay. you get too excited when it comes to young players.

Actually kind of apt

Trier exuded dickeshness

Mitch probably falls into the cluelessly douchey category

Randle is a definitely a tough sell in a trade, but the optimist in me is convinced he would look infinitely better playing with a true alpha(s) that he knew he HAD to take a back seat to.

Certainly not perfect, and not a legit title contender, but if they truly have to ride out Randle, pairing him with someone like Dame if possible is honestly the best bet to actually reap benefit from the contract in my opinion.

Without Rose, this team will land in the bottom 5

Which teams could particularly use him?

I'd take a high upside young player and a pick for him.
