Hoping Brunson and Mitchell work in the short-term if we get him, but this is how I see it going:

1. Moderate playoff success in the short-term...hopefully. Hopefully some value raises for some of our players, allowing for some of them to be moved. I'm thinking about guys like RJ, Fournier, Toppin, IQ, Robinson, etc, who can play off ball a little.

2. Decision point based on Mitchell and Brunson defense and Mitchell's playmaking. Mitchell has some potential for defense but he's played like turd. Also, this depends on Donovan still being a beast scorer.
---If he doesn't do well, then the next question is how good Mitchell is as a facilitator.
---If Mitchell is a good facilitator but bad defender, I might shift him to PG, explore moving Brunson, and build the team around that.
---If Mitchell is only a SG and bad defender, I might seek out a tall SF facilitator type and fill out the roster with size, and move Brunson for a more defensive 3&D type

Either way, in these outcomes, Brunson might be the guy to go, assuming he doesn't morph into Steph Curry or something. His contract is actually set up to have more value as it declines, too, and we're all going to be tampering with max cats.

Losing Obi and Grimes (if/when confirmed) will sure feel a lot better if that smug Randle gets moved afterward aswell. Obi was a good dude. I reckon Randle could’ve helped make things work if he was less about himself.
