seeing that the cavs are interviewing johnny o bryant, it seems clear to me the cavs are trying to build around donovan mitchell. so i guess he's out of the mix.

looking at stars that are going to be available realistically are

trae young
dejounte murray
brandon ingram

ingram is the best fit. but hes kinda injury prone. i would still go after him though. he's had success in the playoffs before at full strength. probably won't take much to trade for him too.

I don't get the excitement some of you guys have for Ingram. This guy is so mid!

Love hate. He did some infuriating stuff but was pretty solid all in all. And tough, as you say. Good defender. He probably would have benefited from a quicker pace. He wasn't a good enough shooter or athlete to thrive in the halfcourt.

Definitely a drinker. I think he had an incident or two with us.

Chris Morris... that guy would just hulk around waiting to yam it or brick jumpers. Y'all had some characters.

Not for us but Garland is likely available too.

Yeah hes probably gone. I think the Cavs are going to pick Donovan over him which is the right choice imo. I can see Orlando trying to get Garland

Don't like the thought of Ingram either in Cleveland or Atlanta. I think he'd balance out both teams quite nicely and make them considerably better.

Would you consider Murray if he doesn't cost any core players?

I'm an archetype guy. If I have a ball dominant guard, I'm gonna want a great off ball guard to pair. We have a good one in Donte and I'd worry Murray wouldn't be a huge upgrade in that regard.

Yeah that makes sense. I was thinking moreso to have Murray shift to 6th Man to lead the 2nd unit next to Deuce in the backcourt

Getting a player of Murray's caliber and having him come off the bench is asking for trouble. You would also have to make a decision on who finishes games----Murray? or DD? or Hart?

After the run we just witnessed it feels unfair to have both DD and Hart glued to the bench to finish games. I feel like the team may be better off with Brunson-OG-Randle to close out games along with DD or Hart (depending on who has it going). That's the danger of getting a star caliber player here....you are essentially benching Hart/DD in the clutch. I feel like getting a 2-way guy that is content playing 20-25 minutes a game at a low cost would help the team more. Getting a star player here could throw things off. Remember the beginning of the season when we had IQ and Barrett here? Remember the Hart comments etc.?

Keep the chemistry going as the top priority. Keep the team healthy. We don't need a major shake-up IMO. We need health and chemistry....with our current group it seemed everyone was happy with their roles etc. and the team went 25-5 with OG in it.

There’s no good options. Just continue to wait.
