But this is what you gotta do. In our situation, it's worth it cause we can't afford to lose him

I'm stoked right now, Bridges/OG is the best wing defender duo in the league. You need 2 great wing defenders to match up with Brown/Tatum, and we got that now

We're a damn good team.

Beyond that, if the Knicks win a championship or two or, at the very least, is a contender while OG is on the team, isn't the money worth it? When was the last time the Knicks were this successful? It's been a while.

I’m kind of down on possibly losing Ihart. Can’t say enough how his game impacted the team. Mitch just be slip screening not making any good passes. We lose hard screens, passing, finisher, offensive rebounder, and defender if we lose Ihart.

I bet the initial reported number is higher than reality because it usually includes all bonuses and kickers that don't always fulfill.

Still it's encouraging the Knicks get a 'new' toy and keep the 'old' toy, especially when they both are rare toys to have.

There is no better wing defense in the league right now.

The Knicks starting 5 is elite. Two All NBA players flanked by two of the league's best 3 + D wings.

Leon had a plan and was prepared for when opportunity arose. He should be lauded for the series of moves that led to this point

I feel the same was everyone else. It's a lot of money, but we needed to keep him.

3 draft picks, maybe a little bit of free agent money. A euro PG waiting for his opportunity. Leon isn't done yet. Next year should be fun.

KNICKS POLL

I would rather:
1. Maintain a ton of picks and a whole lot of cap space
2. Go all out and try to win it all with a team that has a good shot.

Please choose one of the above, and be prepared to defend your choice.

So, a little googling, under the apron, they have their mid level exception, over the apron they do not.

So with all their moves, they have an MLE this off-season as well? That's not bad. That is, if I understand this correctly.

so

OG for 5-212

or Bam for 3-166

Which is the more team friendly deal?

Tobias got 5/180 at half he player. I’m fine with the deal.

HALF the player?

More like mans shows up half the time. And Tobias Harris showing up half the time is being generous. Disappears when the playoffs roll around.

He tipped me $20 when I use to do security on the side, he’s cool in my book forever lmao. But seriously, if guys getting over 200 with ease you give it to OG based on impact. Somebody is going to be a casualty.

Without Randle, I don’t see Knicks have anybody that put fear in teams outside Brunson. This is why I’m leaning towards keeping Randle for now.

OG, Bridges and Brunson on the floor at the same time ain't corn pudding. The "we need a # 2" talk is reductive and basically useless. With our starters and our bench we'll always have 2 or 3 guys on the floor who can score 20+ any night.
