THIS!!

For as much as I love Josh, I cringe when he catches the ball in the paint and stands there hoping for someone to pass to without looking at the basket even once. Teams lay off him because they know he won't shoot. Hopefully, those days are done.

Yeah, he's averaging what, 7 assists per game? But could probably average 9 if he focused more on that.

Ita not about the assists, but just letting others make plays and have early touches with the ball. Because if it was with him, he would just eat up the clock doing all his moves. Not surprising that others would be disinterested with the offense, which can also translate to nonchalance in defense

That's debable IMO because I do think Brunson can adapt .... but regardless ,teammates being empowered to play make more or Brunson becoming less "sticky" and more assist focused ...I'll take either or both.
Exactly.

Tweet embedding isn’t working but OG the last six games:

21.0 PTS • 5.7 REB • 3.5 AST • 1.7 STL • 39% 3P

Needless to say, half of this board were ready to trade him at some point this year.

The "bytch-and-moan" club has nothing to complain about. What'd you expect?

Something this team really has to think about is whether they can be a contender while having 2 negative defenders in the starting lineup with JB and Towns. You can see the difference it makes having Deuce in the starting lineup on the defensive end over JB. I don't want to trade Brunson, so what do we do?

You trade KAT. Hart goes to the bench. You bring in a modern coach (Bryant or Hurley?) and you see the team make a Cleveland like jump next season.

We had better stand pat and watch the team make a Cleveland like jump next season.

Thibs has zero offensive scheme in crunch time other than Brunson save me. And he refuses to even attempt a play.

One day we’ll get a coach who actually runs an offense in crunch time and when that happens the same ppl defending thibs will backtrack

Most NBA usually give the ball to their best scorer and let him go to work in crunch time. I really don’t have a problem with giving Brunson the ball at the end of a close game. I trust him to make the right play. He usually does. It’s the rest of the game. Too much dribbling.

That's unequivocally false. Ppl don't run their last 5 mins in a close game offense with nonstop ISOs for their best player. Or even 2 mins really. Look at the best teams. They run actual plays. We don't.

And we are basically the best crunch time team in the nba with a great record in close games and also have the best clutch player in the nba that other teams don’t have. There’s zero indication that running plays is better than what we do

That was a fun game. At least we know we can still beat bums. Maybe we can hold down the fort waiting for Brunson to heal up.

Exactly, bums, imo we shouldn't get excited until we show this vs top teams

A win is a win. We aren't winning a title this season if we continue to play like we have against top teams. Oh well. We are still winning and in the top 5. The rest of the season is about getting Mitch back into game shape and holding down the fort until Brunson returns for the playoffs, Too bad we aren't fully healthy and just building chemistry with Mitch in the fold.

Anunoby became the first Knicks player since Nate Robinson in 2009 to record at least 24 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and five steals in a single game.
