Probably because he’s averaging 14 points a game against Cleveland, OKc and Boston. Hes a no show against contenders but loves beating up on the worst teams in the league.

More like because this board is full of whiny-ass posters who don’t understand basketball as a team concept, consequently root for all the empty calories iso-chuckers and offer nothing but complaints or 2k-trades for the hottest, yet unavailable players in the league. So much wisdom in that.

Oh hell yeah, Let's buy all the way in. This OG, mitch starting to play like mitch in the paint, plus a few more games for Brunson to get his legs under him. Everyone is healthy.

LFG!!!!!

Wright is better defensively, but we are going to need Payne to get hot from three if we're in a shootout type of situation

Last two years in the playoffs, Payne has shot 42.2% from three on 3.8 attempts per game playing just 17.8 mpg

Also, tonight Payne had 6 assists and 0 turnovers in 13:33

So either he is knocking down threes, or making passes that lead to other guys getting buckets, all while taking care of the ball, and doing all of it in very limited minutes.

Is it true the Knicks have had 'all' their pieces...meaning the starting 5 and the top 4 bench pieces of Mitch, Precious, Deuce, Cam all playing together for a total of 4 games this season? Yet they are all finally ready now for the playoffs.

Back to back 50 win seasons for the first time in 30 years...enjoy it.

Another player having a career year with Thibs, hate on him for not doing everything the way you want him to but you can't deny players seem to flourish under his guidance. OG had the potential and Thibs is a coach that knows how to tap into it.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I didn’t think this team would win 50 games either after Brunson went down. It wasn’t really that far fetched at the time due to how awful they were defensively, and with Brunson being forced to bail them out late in games.

That being said, I still don’t think this team beats Boston or Cleveland, as it will end in 5 or 6 games against either team. If they face the Pistons, it will be a 7 game dogfight.

I would love to be proven wrong. I just don’t Thibs has what it takes to make the adjustments necessary to take this team to the next level. He will get out coached when it matters the most.

I was speaking of the trajectory they were on and I was speaking in probabilities based on their performance at that time.

If the stars are aligning for the team, then anyone rooting for the team for real should be stoked.

More like this place is full of people who is obsessed with role players that has minimal impact on the game and thinks it’s building the team the “right way” but hey going 0-8 against contending teams is headed in the right direction. It’s like you love losing basketball.

The OG of now is not the same player as OG of last year. The level of control and use of his frame to attack the basket are much much better. This guy has been putting in work behind the scenes and is being rewarded for it by becoming a legit offensive option. He's not just a 3 and D wing anymore, that ship has sailed.

This team has 4 players in the starting 5 that can all go off for big nights. Keep the ball moving and good things will happen.

Because they beat a bad team?

I want them to do well in the playoffs but I am also going to judge this team and Thibs off of how they play in the playoffs.

No because we won 50 games back to back in years which no other coach has done

Thibs isn’t going anywhere regardless of what happens in the playoffs. We just gave him a big extension.

Guys who think Leon cashed in all his chips for a 50 win participation trophy is kidding themselves.

Whether realistic or not, the FO envisions this team going deep in the playoffs or winning a championship. Dolan is sniffing around too.

Bottom line: Thibs is getting canned if this team gets embarrassed in the playoffs.

Thibs fans may be in denial the same way they were in denial that Leon was going to bring KAT home....but it's going to happen if we don't have a deep playoff run.

We are fully healthy...no excuses.
