Incredible Bongo Band - "Bongo Rock"
Surfer Blood - "Astro Coast"
The Ponys - "Celbration Castle" :droop:
Double Dagger - "More" :droop:

Ash - '1977"
Big Echo - "The Morning Benders"
Bonnie "Prince" Billy - "I See Darkness"
Yeasayer - "Odd Blood"
Solid Gold - "Bodies of Water"
Archie Bronson Outfit - "Derdang Derdang"
Gruff Rhys - "Candylion"
The Wipers - "Is It Real?"
Throwing Muses - "The Real Ramona"
Wire - "Chairs Missing"
Amazing Baby - "Rewild"
Wild Beasts "Two Dancers" :droop:
Art Brut "Art Brut vs. Satan"
The XX "XX" :droop:
Bat for Lashes "Fur & Gold"
The Jealous Girlfriends "The Jealous Girlfriends"
Dan Auerbach "Keep it Hid"
Jarvis Cocker "Future Complications"
Bosque Brown - "Baby" :droop:
Foreign Born - "Person to Person" :droop:
Silver Apples - "Silver Apples"
Ohbijou - "Beacons" :droop:
The Horrors - "Primary Colours" :droop:
Grizzly Bear "Veckatimest"

I don't think anyone has mentioned the Shout Out Louds yet. They have a new album, "Work", which I don't like because it's too slow. Here's one from their first (best) album:

Not released yet but Unkle's new album "Where Did the Night Fall" is pretty good. Same for the National's "High Violet" (both to be released next month).

Great list! I enjoy the Dirty Projectors, the XX and Beach House a lot. Real Estate is pretty good. I haven't been able to get into the Flaming Lips albums yet. Listed to it 3 times.

I did listen to a bunch of it- mostly the ones you highlighted. I actually ordered a Ponys CD. I prefer the faster stuff, basically. I do like slower stuff too if it's sort of folky. Belle and Sebastian is probably my favorite band.

I can echo that those Surfer Blood, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Yeasayer, Bat For Lashes, and Andrew Bird records are great. Will have to check out the others.

Also, these 2 records both came out last week, and I've been listening to them a ton:

Dr. Dog - Shame, Shame
Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings - I Learned The Hard Way

Highly recommended.

nice sig- for a second I thought it might actually be serious, which I guess is the beauty of it. what was the sig bet for? it is actually kind of perfect for a music snob like yourself since people may actually think you're a fan. so props to delaney rudd for that.

I bet that the Knicks would make the playoffs.

I don't even know who Selena Gomez is? Is she a current singer or is it that Selena from like 20 years ago?

I was more worried that he'd make me keep a Nirvana or a Led Zeppelin sig.

well..can't get on you for sticking up for the knicks. according to wikipedia, she was named after that singer selena. isn't that crazy? she was born in 1992. I wouldn't really know who she was except I shazamed one of her songs on the radio because we were trying to figure out if it was a recent song or a 80's-90's dance track. apparently she is a disney teen star (like miley cyrus) who has starred in such illustrious titles such as "the princess protection program". good luck with that.

Broken Bells is James Mercer (The Shins) and Danger Mouse (Gnarls Barkley). You can hear Danger Mouse's influence and songwriting on "The Ghost Inside".

Check "Beat the Devil's Tattoo". New album of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. I like it a lot.

I know, I know... so much of the new music I like are just rearranged retreads. Really diggin' the Gorillaz as well.

I've heard the BRMC song on the radio before but didn't know who it was. Good stuff.

Nice! Koz, is there a particular BRMC album you'd recommend?

Thanks to CapnO and JSTD I have gotten into the Avett Brothers lately. Don't know if someone already mentioned them (probably), but just in case.

But Bill you seriously hate on Nirvana and Zep? Wow....
