Frye + Shumpert + Osman + 2021 1st

Shump will likely opt out after next season to land a bigger deal given the new CBA. Frye is cheap and gone after next season. We get Osman and a 1st as the actual assets and no damage to our cap situation beginning next summer.

If it does sign me the f up...Cedi looks awesome and will fit right in with what we are trying to do.And I'm sure we could flip Frye and Shump for picks.

I read on another forum of someone coming up of a trade of melo to Cavs love to Utah and Knicks getting cap relief and young assets. Something like expiring deals Joe Johnson Boris Dias with Dante exam and rights to their 2017 1st rounder Donovan mitchell. I doubt this happens.

Monroe isnt an asset for anyone. We're rebuilding so its worthless for us.

3 way trade for Melo-Love makes sense but Knicks should get some assets for that trade.

Does Melo to 76ers trade make any sense for parties?

Knicks can get future Lakers 1st+filler.
76ers would get respected veteran scorer. They can use him at PF and some SF minutes.

*Philly is close to NY, Baltimore I dont know what Melo wants but he will be close to his kids.
*Trade kicker should be nice for him.
*76ers can become a serious threat in very short time. (Like OKC making Finals)

Our whole summer hinges on this cat and mouse game. Teams expecting the Knicks to give Melo away is a joke. Melo wanting a buyout is a joke. Does he think any team will afford to add him in FA next year? That's a big risk. I would make him play a limited role and ride it out.
