TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

The Phoenix Suns have agreed to trade Emmanuel Mudiay, Shaun Livingston, Marco Belinelli and Luke Kornet to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Patrick Patterson, De'Anthony Melton, Anfernee Simons, Frank Kaminsky, Dwayne Bacon and the right to swap 2020 1st round draft picks (after Toronto has met their previous pick swap obligations with Indiana and the Lakers).

I sacrificed some of my youth and traded away some of my long-term young pieces (Melton, Simons, and Bacon) in exchange for guys who can help me win now and make a playoff push. The players I’ve acquired are guys I don’t have to wait on and they can make an impact now that should translate to more consistent results in the win column.

• Rodney Hood - the wing scorer I needed
• Emmanuel Mudiay - his SIM rating will increase next year
• Marco Belinelli - the shooter I desperately needed
• Shaun Livingston - savvy vet depth, defends the “1”
• Luke Kornet - stetch 5 floor spacer & rim protector

Hood, Mudiay, and Kornet are young players in their own right. Yet they are capable of producing for me immediately. Livingston and Belinelli are veterans who can be counted on night in and night out. All players are on cap-friendly deals.

We started very slow this year but I think we can sneak in to the playoffs as the 8th seed. And I don’t think no #1 seed in the east would want smoke wit us in the 1st round. We dangerous!

Avery Bradley, overpriced but starting caliber SG, 165/4

Dwight Howard, really good in the sim but injured until May, so would only help a team planning on going deep in the playoffs 100/3

Also anyone else is available for the right price
