Re: College Basketball/March Madness Thread
Watching the tournament makes me feel extremely good about this years draft and us getting a player that can help. I think this draft is pretty deep honestly. Here is a list of players I'd be happy to have. I think any of these players can come into our system and make an impact right away. I really hope we can get two of them.
Walker - probably wont fall near us
Jimmer
Nolan Smith
Brandon Knight
Jordan Hamilton
Kawhi Leonard - probably wont fall near us
Tristan Thompson
Kennith Faried
Justin Harper

I think it's official, Derrick Williams is the number one pick. Right now he is playing on another level from these guys, Irving is the only competition but that's taking a huge roll of the dice.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

I question this Kyrie hype... no Dookie is ever going to be worth the overall #1 pick...

Yeah, for the most part they don't translate well to the NBA (see Reddick, etc). Brand has been the only real successful one.
In any event, the more GMs that reach for guys in the 2011 Draft, the better it is for us.

The only reason I'd question the Irving hype is because of the injury. But he was a beast before he went down.

And even after months of not playing he was the second best player on the court yesterday and that without any explosivness or quickness to speak of due to injury. This kid is the read deal. I remember watching him early in the season when MSU played at Duke and he was just sensational. Whenever he made a play I caught myself shaking my head in a way that says man is this kid good and you cant do anything about it as a defense. He wont vow you with athletisism or anything but he is a stud with a killer instinct. Very rarely you see the mental toughness that he has with guys as young as him...
Sorry you guys lost yesterday. Taylor put up a great fight even though he didnt play well. Leuer was a mess and I hate to say it but somehow the Badgers didnt look as ready as Butler...
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

You love to harp on Bo and I dont get it. Ready had nothing to do it. Leuer going 1-14 despite getting open look after look was the reason. Taylor also had his worst game of the season. It wasn't Butler's defense, it was just a cold stretch by the two guys who get 90% of our offense.

Obviously not, since there's been a considerable of conversation here about most prominent big 10 teams. If you don't want to participate, no one is forcing you.

So what's the deal with Kendall Marshall? Is he expected to stay another year? Might be the best pure point I've seen in college ball.

He's supposedly staying. I'm a big fan though. He has some J Kidd in his game.

Re: College Basketball/March Madness Thread
Yeah Marshall started and all of a sudden UNC took off. One of the overlooked freshmen of the year due to the fact that he wasn't starting and Harrison Barnes. Id be shocked if he leaves.

Big time snoozers in the early games, there couldnt have been a better matchup for UNC than that small Marquette roster...
He is a good player but after watching Sullinger all year long, he seems to get fatter by the day...
