Can somone tell me the point of DJ Khaled?

Maybe im not understanding the music biz, but a whole bunch of these records say 'DJ Khaled featuring ...."

And I swear hes never laid a first, and hes never produced a beat..

I thought DJs rocked the turntables at clubs, since when do they make albums wherein they only yell "We The Best" and their name....?

Khaled is just good at getting rappers together...he does a good job with that. Aside from that, I have no idea what he does.

Chamillionaire released a new mixtape today. Downloading it as I type this...can't wait to listen.

Holy sh*t... everyone and their mom is on Cole now.. I'm proud to say I was with my boy in the early days of 2008, and will stick with him. Can't believe the hype.

I havent listened to much rap the past few years or really any music basically.
I just came across J Cole a few months ago. I can honestly say I havent seen a artist come around in a long time with his potential. He can go from putting out a pure fire track like Unabomber, then go to a soft emotional classic like Lost ones to then a club pumper like Work out. I know people will rip me but I havent seen someone sound as close to Tupac until now. I can legitamitely post 10 songs that are awesome and I cant say that for many these days. These are my 5 favorite J Cole tracks

Unabomber
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ubkp8fIWWQ4

Lost Ones
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvIeEv7-EDk

Song for the Ville
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TdsZ6gVAE8

Lights Please
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dyPeGDe ... re=related

Cheer up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uq3po2WLUVM

Im not trying to get ahead of myself and not one to sensationalize things but I truly believe this kid has all time great potential.

Oh ya, check out this freestyle on the Tim Westwood show

I suggested you download Friday Night Lights, those 'freestyles' on Westwood were verses from that mixtape...the actual songs are 10x better

The first one is 2Face, the second verse was Premeditated Murder - My Favorite.

Third one, im not sure...im assuming " Before Im Gone" or "Back To The Topic", cant identify it immediately, but u should check out both those songs anyway...

Basically, check out the entire "Friday Night Lights" mixtape,,

Tinie has gotten me into British rap. I downloaded his mixtapes months back and I've really been listening to them now. I also just started listening to Chipmunk...he's pretty good.

Possibly the most disrespectful round of battle rap EVER in the third...I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a battle. The build up from the first two rounds and Keynote's closer to 360 absolutely CRUSHING his soul is amazing. Just to provide some background, Keynote talked a lot of trash and their was what seemed like genuine dislike heading into the battle. Btw, 360 has some solid music...

They came out with another new song too called O.T.T.R. It's alright, not really my style but worth listening to.

Anyways, I'm really liking this right now:
