What are the best foods to eat after a big workout at the gym? What are the best meats to eat?

134 pounds? that's crazy- maybe you went overboard.

those are all good choices but salmon and chicken breast are the leanest sources of protein as far as I know.

Try to buy whey protein powder. It digests faster than foods. If you can't buy that, chicken IMO is the best for building lean muscle. A lot of protein and low in calories/fats. Try to add some carbs in as well.

I want to avoid going to a nutritionist, so my new diet will be:

Breakfast:
Banana or Granola Bar

Lunch:
A. Turkey on Whole Wheat 1 slice of swiss
B. Grilled Chicken on Whole Wheat 1 slice of swiss
C. Roast Beef on Whole Wheat 1 slice of swiss
D. Tuna on Whole Wheat
E. PB and Banana on Whole Wheat

Snack 1 (Pre workout)
Apple, Banana, Grapes and a glass of milk

Snack 2 (Post workout)
Whey Protein Shake or Bar

Dinner:
Roasted Chicken - Veggies
Steak - Veggies
Fish - Potatoes and Veggies
Lamb/Pork - Veggies
Once a Week Pasta or Burger


Good? I have to have protein shakes AFTER not before workouts correct?

You have to have more than just a damn banana or granola bar for breakfast. If you're trying to gain weight you have to eat more than that.

You have to eat every 3 hours about 30-40 gs of protein and around 500 calories. Thats like 5-6 small meals a day. You have to be eating more calories than you burn or you wont gain weight. With that diet you wont gain a thing.

That looks pretty good actually aside from the light breakfast like TW said. Good, lean meats with vegetables are always good and you're getting "good" carbs from whole what products and fruits.

If you're looking to bulk up, like you said you were, you need to make sure that you're eating more calories than you use per day. You might want to take a look at this (http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_art ... ling_codex) ...read through it. It's a great website when it comes to workout routines/exercises and nutritional information, dieting, etc. Amount of protein is key also. Use the formula provided to help calculate roughly how many calories you should be eating per day. Carb cycling is also a good way to stay lean while bulking.

While trying to get bigger though, make sure you get the right amount of calories but at the same time, you need to keep the crap you eat to a minimum.

Fluck diets. When you think about eating healthy it gets annoying. I just eat whats healthy ans enjoyable at random.

I'm fairly new to this whole working out thing too.. Last year i was at about 130lbs, I'm only 5'6" :( and my "diet" was similar to yours, maybe a little more.. Just like ATR said

I've been eating 2 eggs plus two slices of toast for breakfast. If I wake up early enough I'll substitute a bake potato for the slices. For lunch I'll have a tuna or chicken sandwich, a banana, yogurt or almonds(great snack), and a granola bar, and for dinner some good old homemade puertorican food.

Seriously dude, just eat whatever you can as soon as you start feeling a little hungry. Just make sure its healthy. Doing this I've gained 20 lbs, yes most of it being fat (still look fit though) but now I'm able to work it out and seeing the best results ever. The only substance I use is whey protein (highly recommend) and yes I take it after my workouts.

Don't know if you said how old you where, but I know when I was in my teens it was impossible for me to gain weight. I wasn't eating like i am now, but even still I had a very high metabolism, which seems to slow down once you reach your twenties.

If you have a high metabolism, there's not much you can really do, except enjoy it :D

It's only risky if sperm has passed the urethra within the past 48-72 hrs, because some sperm can stay behind (or stuck?)

And if your really worried about std's, then all I can say is abstinence is nature's condom :p

It's ALWAYS smart to wear a condom.

Buying condoms isn't hard.. Most will fit but if you think it's too tight try large or xl.

Whatever you do 5494 don't buy the cheap ones that are like 12 for $3. Those seem to be the one's that tear easily.
